Gotham City After Midnight: Rage

Gotham City After Midnight: Rage

1

The mild mannered scientist walked into Gotham City. He looked overwhelmed and out of his element. Harley and Jason passed him on the sidewalk. Both of them noticed how he looked out of place.

Harley looked back at him. "Hey Mister, are you lost?" She asked. She smiled at him.

And Jason, meanwhile, narrowed his gaze. That man looked really out of place.

"Do you need directions?" Harley asked the man.

Jason continued to stare. But he said nothing. The new stranger wasn't carrying a map. Or a cell phone. Or really any of the tools of the trade for a regular tourist.

"Yes, the Gotham City Medical Center." He answered.

Harley thought for a moment. "Sure, sure." She smiled. "What's your name, sugar?" Harley asked as Jason glared at the man.

"David...ugh...David Baxter." He thought quickly.

"David?" Harley said thoughtfully. "David, why do you need to go to Gotham Medical Center?"

Jason's gaze intensified. He looked at "David's" hands. They were in his coat pockets.

"Umm...I have a friend who supposedly works there." David said. He could see that Jason was not happy with her talking to him.

"I see." Harley said. "Well, Gotham Medical Center is over by Gotham Square. They have a parking garage that's usually full. But you can also park over at St. Stephen's Hospital. It's not too far, and they usually have an open parking lot." She continued. "But if you want to go now, you're gonna get stuck in all that traffic!"

Harley looked at "David" a little more suspiciously. It wasn't a far walk to Gotham Square. She just pointed in the direction of Gotham Square. "It's a quarter of a mile." She said. "You'll see the tall building with the blue and white lights." It was a building with neon lights that said "Gotham General."

"Thank you, honey." David said. Then he took off in that direction.

"Good luck with your friend." Harley said with a smile. But her smile fell as soon as David turned away. She looked at Jason. "That was weird, right?" She asked him.

"Yes. Very." Jason said and stared after David, even following him with his eyes as David walked out of sight. "He didn't look like someone who knew Gotham very well." Jason said and turned back to Harley.

She nodded thoughtfully. "Yeah, he seemed... lost. Like he didn't know where he was going." She said. "But he said he had a friend that worked at Gotham Medical." A sudden thought struck her. "Do you think he's just lying so he can steal something?" She inquired.

"Do you think Bruce would want us to watch him?" Jason asked.

Harley raised an eyebrow at that. "Bruce can't control us. We're independent. We can decide to watch David if we want." She replied in a matter of fact tone. "And yeah, I think we should. This feels fishy." She nodded.

"Are you sure? It's probably nothing." Jason said, but knowing it seemed off.

"I'm sure." Harley said. "Let's just watch him a little bit to see what he does. If he just leaves town then no big deal. But if he does something weird or dangerous then we'll deal with it." She told him and started after David.

They split up but agreed to coordinate through their earpieces. Harley decided to take the high road, and Jason headed around the block in a more direct route.

"How are we doing with our mystery man?" Jason asked into the earpiece.

"So far a big fat nothing." Harley replied. From the rooftop she was currently on, she had a good vantage point. She would be able to spot David on the streets if he came out of a building. And she would be able to run a quick background check on her comm device.

Jason ran into Nightwing. "Hey, Jason...you alright?" Jason was clearly trying to chase something down.

"Yeah, I'm... we're fine." Jason said quickly. There was an urgency in his voice, and he was running like the devil was on his heels. "What are you doing here?" He asked.

"Patrol." Nightwing answered calmly. He was walking along the sidewalk at a leisurely pace. "What's the matter?" He asked, but he looked at Jason with curiosity, not alarm.

"Well...we're trying to figure out who this suspicious guy is... we're tracking him down." Jason told Nightwing. "You know Harley, she thinks she's a detective." He added.

Damian saw the two and joined them. "What's going on, guys?"

"Harley and Jason are on a wild goose chase." Nightwing said. "They think they're in an Scooby Doo episode or something."

Damian chuckled in agreement. "I suppose I am to be Shaggy in this scenario?" He asked with a smirk.

"Yes, I guess you are, Little Wayne." Jason smirked at Damian, and Damian narrowed his eyes at him. "Are you going to be Velma then?" Damian quipped back.

"Hell no, I'm Fred." Jason replied. Damian was a little taken aback, and his mind raced to think of who that made Harley.

"So, Harley is Scooby then?" Damian asked and raised an eyebrow at Jason. He was smiling slightly.

Jason scoffed at that. "Yeah, I guess so." He muttered. And Damian chuckled. "I suppose I will be Daphne then." Damian suggested.

Jason snorted at that. "Yeah, you are very like Daphne." He said. He had thought that the little Wayne was more like a Scrappy Doo. Or maybe that was Tim.

"We were just checking out a guy who was acting suspicious." Jason explained. "He came out of nowhere." He said. "It's probably nothing. We're just going to make sure." There was a note of something in Jason's voice. The other two were not sure that Jason thought it was nothing.

"Yeah, I suppose we're all out here." Nightwing shrugged. He looked at Jason. "Did you get a read on him at all?" He asked.

Nightwing didn't think that Jason was the best at reading people, but he could usually detect something about someone's character.

"He was hiding his hands... seemed a little shifty..." Jason said. "...but he wasn't really trying to blend in either. He almost looked like a lost tourist." Jason shook his head. "I don't know he's a strange one." He said.

At that moment, Jason's earpiece buzzed.

Jason tapped his earpiece. "What is it, Harls?" He spoke into it.

"I did a quick sweep of Gotham hospital, no one named David Baxter signed in." Harley replied. "But I'll keep looking." Suddenly she cursed. "Dammit, he spotted me." She said.

"I'll try not lose him, but I'm on his tail, now" She said.

Jason sighed. "Alright, but don't overdo it, Harley. Remember what happened last time you tailed someone?" He replied.

Harley chuckled. "I haven't forgotten. Don't worry, I won't go overboard." She replied.

"I'll check in with you guys again in a few minutes." Harley said and ended the call. Jason turned back to the other two.

Jason sighed. "We better get back at it." He said. "We need to find him. Which way are you tracking, Harls?" Damian and Nightwing nodded their agreement. The three of them split up again to cover more ground in hopes of finding David.

"Last time I checked, he was headed for the docks." Harley spoke through the line. "It kind of seems like he's trying to lose me." She sounded a little frustrated. "He's not very chatty, and he keeps ducking into buildings. But I'm tracking him." She assured them.

"I'm heading for the docks now too." Jason said. "Let's see if we can box him in."

"Sounds good." Nightwing said. "I'm not too far from that area either. I'll be there in a few minutes." Jason nodded. "Alright, we'll get him." He said. "The docks are always full of sketchy characters, and he should stand out if he tries to run." He said and continued running toward the docks.

The docks were dark and gloomy. Jason peered through the shadows. There was no sign of anyone. He had already circled around the block that Harley described. Had David slipped away? Or had they been tracking the wrong guy? Jason shook his head. No, David was their guy. He knew it.

Suddenly, a flash of movement caught Jason's attention. He saw shadows shift in the back of an alley. Jason made his way silently toward it. When he got to the edge of the alley, he peered around the corner. David was crouched in the back of the alley, rifling through someone's purse.

"I'm on his heels." Harley said into the comm. "He's a slippery snake." She said, her voice was a little strained. She was keeping up with David, but she wasn't used to running so much.

On the other end, Jason crept into the alleyway. He watched David as he crouched over the purse. He waited a moment, observing. David was distracted. He was too focused on what he was doing to notice Jason. Now seemed like the perfect time to attack.

Jason crept up behind David quietly. He pulled back his fist. He was about to strike at David when suddenly David whirled back.

He was fast. Too fast. "What the hell?" Jason said. David punched Jason in the stomach.

The force of it surprised Jason, and air whooshed out of his lungs.

Jason gasped for air. That punch hit him like a ton of bricks. That David sure was strong.

He didn't let it stop him. He lunged at David, punching him in the chest. He slammed him into the brick wall, pinning him against it.

He was determined to keep David from getting away again. "Who are you?" Jason asked him.

2

"Don't do this." His eyes went from brown to light green. "Nobody knew I was here." He repeated, and Jason could feel the mass of the man increasing.

Jason felt that change. He had fought a lot of strong adversaries, but nothing like what he felt now.

He tried to ignore it and focus on keeping David pinned to the wall. "Who are you working for?" Jason demanded.

He didn't understand the sudden increase in the man's strength.

"What in the hell?" Jason watched his clothes ripping and his skin changing into a green color.

The others run up to the scene, and they froze. They couldn't believe what they were looking at. "What in the fuck?" Damian said.

Y"Oh, you're kidding me." Harley said. She had finally caught up to them. She was leaning over with her hands on her knees, gasping. But when she looked at David, she felt all the breath leave her lungs. "What the hell?" She said out loud.

Jason was momentarily distracted by the others' arrival. It was all he could do to hold on. When the Hulk slung his ripped up shirt to the ground Jason went with it. The beast slung Jason and didn't even know it.

The eight or nine foot tall creature stood before them. His skin was green, and muscles protruding in an un-humanly way. Jason quickly escaped with the others.

"What the hell is that thing?" Jason yelled. He tried to keep his distance. He was still winded from the punch. He pulled himself to his feet with Nightwing's help.

"It's like a giant monster." Damian said. He was still in shock. "We have to stop it." He said.

"No Damian...don't try it. I mean that. He's too strong." Jason said.

"But that thing can't be normal. It transformed from a perfectly normal guy."

Harley interjected. She was just as shocked as Damian, but her mind started racing.

"We need to figure out how it changed. There has to be a way to turn him back." She said.

Jason was about to say something, but Nightwing beat him to it. "She's right. We need to figure out how to stop it before it gets too far from here." He said. Jason could see him thinking.

The Hulk stood there looking at him. He released a low growl as he observed them. Unsure about what their purpose was. Banner was gone. This primitive beast didn't know English or anything else. David Baxter knew five languages.

Harley, Jason and Damian were still trying to process this whole situation. They were used to dealing with criminals and thugs. This thing looked like it belonged in a Marvel film. But this was real life, and they had to do something. Harley was the first to regain her composure. "What are we going to do?" She asked Nightwing.

Nightwing thought for a moment. He was trying to come up with a plan, but he was at a loss. How do you fight a giant beast? His mind raced. There had to be a way. He looked around the area. They were near the docks. There was a large ship just a few yards away.

The Hulk found them to be at a low threat level. He took off running away from them.

They gave chase, but none of them really wanted to catch him either. That wasn't a problem. None of them could catch the creature. It was as fast as it was strong.

"We can't let him get away." Nightwing said. He was trying to devise a plan on the run, but it was proving to be quite difficult. "We need to stop him without hurting him." He said. "Maybe we can lure him onto the ship." He suggested.

It was not the worst idea Nightwing had ever had. Even though the others were skeptical, they went along with it.

They had little choice. They were running out of options. The giant beast was heading for a large cargo ship docked in the harbor.

The cargo ship looked like it hadn't been used in years. The paint was peeling and there were rust spots all over it, but it was the only ship within running distance, so Nightwing and the rest had no choice but to lure the Hulk onto it.

"Maybe." Nightwing said. He wasn't so certain. "But he needs to come in willingly. If we force him in there, it will only make things worse." He said.

They were nearing the door to the cargo hold. "Keep your eyes open and be ready for anything." Nightwing said.

The ship creaked and groaned as they made their way to the cargo hold. It wasn't well maintained, and it didn't feel very safe. But they needed to get that creature inside before it ran again. They stood in front of the cargo door and waited.

The Hulk stopped in front of them. He seemed confused. It was as if he was trying to decide what to do. Nightwing took a step toward him. "We don't want to hurt you," Nightwing said. "Please come inside." He said, gesturing to the cargo hold. He was taking a big risk, and he knew it.

He could only hope the beast understood him. The Hulk looked at Nightwing skeptically. He seemed to be considering his request. But then his expression turned into anger, and he charged at Nightwing. Nightwing barely managed to sidestep the monster. He turned to find that the Hulk was heading for the cargo door.

Nightwing reacted on instinct, throwing himself at the Hulk to stop it from going through the cargo door.

He wrapped his arms around the Hulks waist, just barely stopping its momentum. He didn't really know how he managed to grab it.

The Hulk was incredibly strong. He struggled to keep a hold of it.

The others quickly joined in, trying to stop the beast from going any further. "We've got to get it inside the cargo hold." Nightwing grunted with effort. "Just a little further." He groaned.

It was a struggle, but they managed to push the Hulk back into the cargo hold. The beast was clearly frustrated and angry now. It let out a loud growl and started thrashing against them.

The Hulk's anger level had been around one. Barely enough to stay in Hulk form, but then they locked him in the hatch. His anger increased, his strength increased, and he got bigger. Now around ten foot tall.

Now they were really in trouble. The Hulk was bigger and angrier than ever. He thrashed and broke free of their hold. He began tearing apart the cargo hold, looking for a way out.

Jason saw the situation getting worse. "We have to calm it down," he said. "Or it's going to tear this whole ship apart." He was starting to get desperate now. The Hulk was growing more and more powerful.

"We have to get him under control." Nightwing said. He was starting to rethink this whole plan. "He's getting too powerful." The ship was in serious danger of being destroyed. Harley was the only one who seemed to keep her head though. "I'll try to calm him down," she said.

He smashed the walls. The entire ship rocked like it was in a storm.  Imprints of his fist popped out of the iron and steel.

KHe smashed the walls. The entire ship rocked like it was in a storm. Imprints of his fist popped out of the iron and steel.

"Whoa!!" Nightwing said.

"What if he gets out?" Damian asked.

"Pray it doesn't." Harley said.

She walked up to the door, her heart pounding in her throat. She had no idea how to calm down a giant monster. "Hey, big guy..." she said, "Calm down. We're trying to help." She said. She placed a hand on the door, and she noticed the Hulk paused his destructive behavior. "That's right, big guy. Just settle down. We can fix you." Harley spoke in low, soothing tones.

Batman ran upon the scene. "Everyone, get away from him now."

Batgirl had called him. "Bruce, we need Batman. Down by the docks. There's a green monster that is ten times stronger than Bane."

Bruce had heard of this creature before. It had tussled with Superman. Spiderman had dealt with it too. It nearly destroyed The Justice League.

Batman quickly assessed the situation. He could see that they were in over their heads, and he needed to act fast.

He turned to the others and issued commands. "Get out of here, all of you," he said. "Let me deal with this." He said.

"How did they stop him before?" Song...Wonder Woman soothed him into a calm state.

"Harley sing to the creature." Batman said. Evacuating everyone be he and Harley.

The others hesitated for a moment, reluctant to leave the situation unresolved. But they could see that Batman had a plan, and he was in his element now. They all ran off the ship to give him room to work.

Harley was left alone with the giant monster. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest, but she knew she had to stay calm. She took a deep breath and started to sing. She had a beautiful voice, and the words of the song seemed to flow effortlessly from her lips.

As she sang, the Hulk slowly began to calm down. He stopped trashing against the walls and the hatch. Instead, he was listening to her voice as if enchanted. Soon his breathing became slower and steadier.

The others watched from the shore, amazed at what they were seeing. None of them had expected this to work, but it was like a miracle. Harley's soothing song was calming down the beast.

Finally, the Hulk's breathing grew slower and more even. The tension in his body began to relax, and he let out a contented groan. Harley's lullaby was working.

The giant beast that had seemed so dangerous only moments before was now calm and placid, like a little child. It was almost hard to believe the two were the same creature.

Even Batman was surprised at the success of Harley's singing. He had come up with the plan as a last resort, not expecting it to work. But now he could see that it was just what the Hulk needed.

After a few moments, the Hulk lay quietly on the floor of the cargo hold. He had fallen into complete relaxation, his chest rising and falling with each breath. As he one again became a man.

Harley ended her song and looked at the nearly naked body of David. She could see David's cock.

Jason and the others were astonished by what they'd witnessed. They had thought they would have to fight the Hulk into submission, but instead, Harley had calmed him down effortlessly. "Well, that was something I've never seen before." Jason said, shaking his head in disbelief.

"Who riled up the beast?" Batman asked.

His contingency plan for the Hulk told him that somebody made the mild mannered scientist to transform into the Hulk.

Nightwing was the one who spoke up. His mind was still racing, trying to make sense of what had just happened. "His name is David Baxter.

3

They took David back to the Batcave with them. David was a calm man. He just wanted anonymity. "Please, don't report this." He kept asking.

"He's David Bruce Banner. The creature you faced is known as The Savage Hulk." Batman told them.

The others were still reeling from the events of the night. They had witnessed two completely different personalities in the same body. There was a soft-spoken scientist who wanted nothing more than to be left alone. And a powerful monster that could destroy entire cities.

Damian was particularly affected by the situation. He had been taught that villains were evil, and that there was no excuse for their behavior. But seeing the Hulk transform into David Baxter had made him question that assumption.

Jason and Harley were also struggling with their own emotions. They had seen the Hulk as a force of nature, a symbol of chaos.

But now they were forced to see it as something more complicated, more human.

Batman was the only one who seemed unaffected by the situation. He had planned for every contingency, and the Hulk was just another threat he had to be prepared for.

But even he couldn't help but feel a little uneasy about the fact that there was a monster lurking within David Baxter.

They took David back to a secure room in the Batcave and tried to help him as much as they could. They provided him with some clothes and made sure he was comfortable. David was still disoriented, but he was no longer a danger to himself or others.

After making sure David was safe, Batman addressed the others. "I'd advise you all to keep this situation under wraps," he said. "We don't need the public to know we're dealing with a superpowered monster."

They all nodded their agreement. They understood the importance of keeping this a secret, for their safety and the safety of others.

After the others had left, Batman stayed behind with David. He wanted to make sure he was comfortable and safe. David seemed to be adjusting well to the situation, but Batman was still worried about the potential threat he posed.

"What will you do now?" David asked Batman.

"I'm going to keep you here for now," Batman replied. "We need to make sure you're safe and protected."

David nodded, understanding the need for caution. He knew he had no choice but to comply.

Just then, he heard a soft rapping on the door to the room. He turned to see Harley standing there, holding a plate of food. "I thought you might be hungry." She said, holding out the plate.

Batman eyed the food skeptically. He had known Harley for many years, and she was a wildcard at best. But he also knew that she had a good heart, and he accepted the plate cautiously. "Thank you, Harley." He said, gesturing for her to come in.

Harley entered the room and set the plate of food down on a nearby table. She took a seat on a nearby chair and looked at David. She could see the fear in his eyes.

"Don't worry, David. You're safe here." she said. "We're going to take care of you." She promised.

David looked at her, still skeptical. He had never had anyone take care of him before. Even as a child he was mostly on his own.

Harley studied him, taking in his expression. She could tell he was frightened and uncertain, but there was something else there too. A spark of determination. He was a fighter, just like her.

Harley could feel his pain, remorse, and fear, he seemed to be ashamed of himself.

"You know, it's not your fault what happened to you," Harley said softly. She moved closer to him, her voice gentle and reassuring. "You didn't ask for this. It's just your nature."

"Yeah, but what if it happens again?" David asked, his voice trembling with uncertainty. "What if I lose control and hurt someone?"

Batman listened to their discussion. Learning as much as he could.

"We'll make sure that doesn't happen," Harley assured him. "We'll be here to help you whenever you feel like you're losing control. You just have to let us in."

David looked at her, his eyes searching hers for any signs of deception. But he could find none. He could see that she truly cared about him, that she truly wanted to help him.

"I need to get over to the radiation department in that hospital." Banner said.

"Absolutely not." Batman said. "I won't allow you to go anywhere near a public place, not until we understand your condition fully."

Batman listened to David's reasoning, but he wasn't convinced. "There's too much risk involved. We don't know how the radiation might affect you. It could be dangerous." He said.

David could feel the weight of Batman's words. He knew the risk involved, but he was desperate. He had spent years searching for a cure, and he was willing to try anything.

Batman looked at him for a moment, considering his options. "Fine," he said. "But you'll go under our supervision. The moment you show any signs of trouble, we're pulling you out immediately."

David was satisfied with that. He broke out a file with medical and mathematical data. He had collected quite a bit of information. Batman observed him.

As Batman studied the file, he realized that David was a genius. His notes and formulas were complex and well thought-out, and he seemed to have a firm understanding of his own biology.

"This is incredible," Batman said, impressed by David's knowledge. "You're a true scientist."

"I'm glad I didn't lose this. I have before after a transformation." David said.

Batman nodded in understanding. He had seen the reports of the Hulk's previous rampages. They were all too familiar with the destruction he could cause.

"We'll do everything we can to make sure that doesn't happen again," Batman promised. "But you have to trust us. We're here to help you, not hurt you."

David nodded, but he was still worried. He knew he could trust Batman and Harley, but he was still scared of the monster he had become.

Bruce sensed his worry and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "I know it's difficult, David. But we'll get through this together. We won't give up on you." He said.

David felt a surge of gratitude at Bruce's words. Even though he had been alone for much of his life, he never thought he'd be accepted and protected by others.

"Just promise me one thing." David said, his eyes narrowing. "If things get bad, if I become too dangerous...promise me you'll stop me." He said.

Bruce felt a pang of sadness as he looked at David. He could see the pain in his eyes, the weight of the burden he carried. "I promise you, David. I won't let you hurt anyone, not if I can help it." He said.

Harley watched the two men, her heart swelling with emotion. She had her own share of struggles, of painful memories and haunted past.

Seeing David's fear and vulnerability made her understand him in a way she never thought possible. She wanted to help him, to be there for him no matter what.

Batman nodded, turning his attention to Jason. "I'm impressed by David's notes. He seems to have a solid understanding of his condition. We're going to be closely monitoring him for any signs of trouble." He said.

As they continued to discuss David's situation, Batman couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He knew that they were dealing with a dangerous and unpredictable force. He also knew that they couldn't give up on David. He was a valuable ally, and they needed him.

Harley sat quietly in the corner, observing the two men as they spoke.

She could see the seriousness in their faces, the weight of their responsibility. She knew that they were trying to do the right thing.

She couldn't shake the feeling that things were about to become very dangerous.

"What are we going to do?" She asked suddenly, breaking the silence.

Batman turned to look at Harley, surprised by her question. "What do you mean?" he asked. "We're going to do everything we can to help David. He's in a tough spot, and we can't abandon him." He replied.

"I know that," Harley replied. "But we can't forget the risks involved. What if he loses control again? What if he hurts someone?" She asked.

Harley nods...she understood that he needed their help. "Yes...let's focus on helping David."

4

"We'll need to come up with a plan," Batman said. "We'll need to monitor him closely, make sure he doesn't do anything reckless.

We'll need to come up with a way to help him control the Hulk, if that's even possible." He said.

As they entered the room, David felt a sense of dread wash over him. The chair and machine looked like something out of a horror movie, and he couldn't help but feel apprehensive about the whole thing. "Are you sure this is a good idea?" he asked, turning to Batman.

Batman nodded, his expression serious. "It's the best we've got. We need to find a way to help you control the Hulk, and this might be it." he said reassuringly.

As the Joker entered the hospital, he couldn't help but feel excitement coursing through his veins.

He had always loved causing chaos and destruction, and this was the perfect opportunity to do just that.

He could imagine the fear and confusion he would cause, the panic he would stir up in the hospital's patients and staff.

He chuckled to himself, reveling in the anticipation.

But as he made his way through the hallways, he noticed something strange. There was a distinct lack of security. There were no guards, no doctors, no nurses.

It was as if the hospital was completely deserted. The Joker frowned, his curiosity piqued.

What was going on here?

Was this some kind of trap?

He continued to walk through the empty halls, each step echoing in the still air. He wondered what had happened to the people who should have been there.

Did they all leave? Were they hiding somewhere...? Just as he was about to turn a corner, he spotted a figure in the distance.

It was Batman, dressed in his iconic black and gray suit.

The Joker's eyes narrowed, and he grinned menacingly. "Well, well, well. If it isn't the Caped Crusader himself." he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. He approached Batman, his hands moving to his hips.

"What are you doing here, Batsy? Trying to ruin all the fun again?"

Batman stared back at the Joker, his expression unreadable. "I'm here to stop you, Joker. Whatever you're planning, it's not going to work." he said.

The Joker laughed, his grin growing even wider. "Oh, Batsy. You're always such a party pooper." He laughed wickedly

"Can't you just let me have a little fun?" he asked. "Just one time?"

Batman remained silent, his muscles tensed as he prepared himself for a fight. He knew that the Joker was unpredictable and dangerous.

He couldn't let his guard down for even a second. But the Joker seemed to be in a mischievous mood, and he stepped even closer to Batman.

"Tell you what, I have a great idea. Why don't we have a little chat, just you and me?" he said, his voice taking on a strangely seductive tone.

Batman was taken aback by the Joker's behavior.

He had expected threats and violence, not this strange, almost sultry tone.

He knew better than to trust the Joker, even for a moment. "There's nothing to talk about, Joker. You need to stop whatever you're doing and surrender now." he said, his voice firm.

But the Joker just laughed again, shaking his head. "Always so serious, Batsy. Can't you have a little fun once in a while?" He said, before leaning in even closer.

The Joker's face was only inches away from Batman's, his eyes glinting with mischief. "I've got a great idea for a game. How about we team up for a little bit? You help me collect some stuff and I will go."

Batman could feel the Joker's hot breath on his face, and he felt a sudden rush of anger. He knew the Joker was trying to manipulate him, to play some kind of twisted game.

But he couldn't let himself be swayed by the Joker's games. He took a deep breath, steadying himself. "We're done here, Joker. Surrender, or I'll be forced to take action." he said, his voice icy.

The Joker stepped back, his eyes glittering with amusement. "Oh, Batsy, you're too easy. I bet you can't even tell what I had planned next."

He ran into the Radiation Department for the x-ray machine. He spotted David calibrating the machine.

"Who are you?" David asked. "Where's Batman?"

The Joker laughed. "He's currently hiding out in the hallway."

Banner looked at Joker suspiciously. "Where is Batman?"

The Joker's eyes glinted with glee as he watched David's confusion. "Oh, Batsy's just outside, waiting for the right moment to swoop in and save the day," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "But who needs Batman when we have so much fun here?" he added, spreading his arms theatrically.

David felt a surge of anger at the Joker's flippant attitude. He knew that the Joker was a dangerous psychopath, and he wasn't going to let him get away with causing chaos and destruction.

Batman was locked outside the magnetic doors.

"Let's get acquainted...so we're not strangers." Joker looked at his advanced formulas.

The Joker approached David, his eyes gleaming with interest. "Well, you certainly are a smart one, aren't you?" he said, his voice filled with a mixture of admiration and mockery.

The Joker leaned in closer, his gaze fixed on David's notes. "These formulas are quite impressive. I can tell you're a true scholar. But what I can't understand is why you don't use your brilliant mind for something...more exciting? Like a little chaos and destruction, perhaps?"

"Please get out. Just go." David said.

The Joker feigned offense. "Oh, come on, doctor. Don't be so uptight. I can sense your true nature. You're not just a gentle, soft-spoken scientist. No, you have a wild side, a dark side. It's just waiting to be unleashed."

The Joker circled David, like a predator closing in on its prey. "I can see it in your eyes, the spark of rebellion. You want to break free from the chains of society, to let your true self shine. And I can help you do that, doctor. Just let go, and let the chaos consume you."

"Oh you have no idea. Please don't find out for yourself. Just go, now." David said shakily.

The Joker chuckled darkly, his eyes glinting with excitement. "Oh, I'm afraid it's too late for that, doctor. I've seen the darkness within you, and I can't wait to see it unleashed. Imagine the havoc we could cause together. The explosions, the chaos, the utter destruction. It would be glorious, don't you think?". The Joker was getting more and more hyped up, his voice growing louder with each passing moment.

David felt a chill run down his spine at the Joker's words. He knew that the Joker was a madman, but there was something frighteningly compelling about his wild ideas.

Against his better judgment, David found himself being drawn in, almost seduced by the Joker's chaotic energy.

The Joker laughed, his voice like nails on a chalkboard.

"Oh, work, work, work. Always the work. But what about you, huh? What do you want, David? Do you want to live your life in the shadows, hiding behind your research and your obsession with control? Or do you want to truly live, to embrace the chaos and the freedom that comes with it?"

"Why fight it, doctor?" The Joker whispered, his voice low and alluring. "Why not let the darkness take control, and revel in the thrilling chaos that comes with it?" He took a step closer, his eyes gleaming with unbridled excitement.

"The door is over there." Banner said.

The Joker could see the fear on the doctor's face. "Do you fear, me Doc?" The Joker laughed. "Because if you don't...you should."

The Joker chuckled darkly as he watched David squirm under his gaze. "Oh, I can smell it. I can smell the fear emanating from you. The uncertainty, the vulnerability." He stepped closer, a sadistic grin spreading across his face.

"You know, doctor, fear is a powerful emotion. It can consume you, weaken you, break you." He ran his gloved fingers along the edge of David's desk, his voice lowering to a menacing whisper. "But for me...well, fear is an aphrodisiac. It excites me, drives me to push boundaries."

David felt a shiver run down his spine at the Joker's chilling words.

He tried to steel himself, to push past the fear that threatened to overwhelm him.

"You're a madman," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "You enjoy causing pain and suffering. You revel in it." He took a deep breath, summoning up every ounce of courage he could muster.

"But I won't let you get to me. I won't let fear control me."

The Joker laughed at David's attempt at bravery. "Oh, that's cute, doctor. You think you have control over your fear. You think you can resist me. But let me tell you something, doctor. Fear has you in its grip, and there's nothing you can do to break free from it. You may think you're strong, but deep down, you're just a frightened little boy. And I can sense it, I can sense the fear oozing from you like a rancid stench. And it's delicious."

Batman kicked the other side door in. He came through the door. The Joker grabbed David and put a blade on his throat.

"Easy...Batsy...I'll kill the doctor. He's just another face to me."

Banner was in fear. Barely suppressing the beast that wanted to get out.

The Joker's gaze flickered briefly to Batman before returning to David, who was struggling vainly in his grasp. "Well, well, well. Look who decided to join us. The Caped Crusader himself, come to save the day." He let out a bark of maniacal laughter.

The Joker gripped David tighter, the blade pressing dangerously against his throat. "Now, you wouldn't want anything bad to happen to the good doctor here, would you, Batsy? It would be such a shame to see him all beaten and bloodied."

Batman's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched. He knew the Joker was ruthless and unpredictable, but he couldn't let David be harmed. "Let him go, Joker. He's got nothing to do with this."

The Joker laughed again, the sound echoing eerily in the room. "Oh, but Batsy, the doctor here has everything to do with this. He's the key to everything." He gestured towards the radiation room.

"With his brilliant mind and his research, I can unleash unimaginable horrors upon this city! Can you imagine the chaos, the destruction, the sheer glee I will feel as I watch it all unfold?"

Batman's expression remained unreadable, his gaze unwavering. "You won't get away with this, Joker. I won't let you." He took a step forward, his fists clenched. "Let the doctor go, and surrender quietly. I promise you'll be given a fair trial."

The Joker sneered at Batman. "Oh, Batsy, always so predictable. Always trying to play the hero, the noble crusader.

But you know what? I find it all quite boring to be honest. There's no fun in following the rules, no thrills in playing by the book. No, my dear Batsy, I prefer to create my own rules.

In this game, there are no heroes." He pressed the blade against David's neck, drawing a drop of blood. "Isn't that right, doctor?"

5

The Joker released David, pushing him away. David stumbled back, panting heavily, as the Joker cackled again. "Run along, doctor. Your services are no longer required.

Go bring me the items on list." Joker ordered.

David watched through narrowed eyes as the Joker began to pace in the room, his eyes darting all around, filled with glee.

Batman didn't hesitate, lunging forward and tackling the Joker.

He knew that the Joker was a formidable foe, but he also knew that he had the advantage in terms of strength and speed.

He slammed the Joker onto the ground, his fists raining down on him.

The Joker tried to fight back, his fists swinging wildly. Batman was too quick for him, blocking each strike and delivering blows of his own.

Despite the Joker's maniacal laughter, Batman could see the fear in his eyes.

Batman felt a surge of satisfaction at seeing the Joker cowering before him. He knew that his victory would be short-lived if he didn't end this fight quickly.

He increased his assault, his fists connecting with the Joker's face and body with brutal force.

The Joker's laughter turned to cries of pain as Batman continued to pulverize him.

He tried to crawl away, but Batman grabbed him and held him still, raining down punches and kicks, pushing the Joker to his limit.

David quickly started to run the experiment. He fired up the state of the art equipment. "I'm gonna try it, Batman." David said. Continued to set up the machines.

Batman turned his gaze to David, his attention briefly away from the Joker. "Wait, David! It's too dangerous!

The risks are too great!" He called out, his voice laced with concern.

David's heart was pounding in his chest, his hands trembling as he flipped the switch. The machine began to hum, the lights flickering and pulsing with a strange energy. "There's no turning back now," he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.

Batman felt a sense of dread wash over him as he watched David activate the machine.

He knew that the potential consequences were immense, and that the risks far outweighed any possible reward.

"David, stop! You don't know what you're doing!" He yelled, his voice urgent.

But it was too late. The machine was already in motion, the energy building, the lights pulsing faster and faster.

David could feel the power surging through his body, a rush of adrenaline that he had never experienced before.

"I...I can feel it," he stuttered, his voice filled with awe and fear.

David's body began to glow, his skin taking on an otherworldly hue. He could feel the beast within awakening, the primal instincts taking hold. He clenched his fists, fighting against the urge to let it take over completely. "I...I can control it," he said, his voice trembling.

But as the machine continued to build up its power, the beast only grew stronger. David could feel its presence looming over him, its shadowy form just behind his back.

He tried to focus on the present, on the task at hand. "We...we need to finish what we started," he gasped, struggling to suppress the beast within.

Batman watched in horror as David struggled against the beast's call. "David, you have to fight it! You're stronger than it!" He yelled, his voice filled with desperation.

"No...he's not, Batman." The Joker laughed.

The Joker's voice broke through the haze of David's mind, the beast's influence momentarily pushed aside.

He looked over at the Joker, his face etched with fear and anger. "Shut up, Joker. You don't know me.

The Joker's manic laughter echoed through the room, adding to the chaos. He watched on, a twisted grin playing on his face as David began to lose his grip on reality.

"Look at him, Batsy. Look how he clings to his precious humanity." He chuckled, his eyes gleaming with malice. "But it won't last much longer. The beast will win. It always does."

"You better hope it doesn't, Joker. That's no joke." Batman said.

Batman's eyes narrowed as he focused his attention back on the Joker. "You think you've won, Joker? You think you can control this situation? You're wrong." He took a step forward, his fists clenched at his sides. "I'll take you down, just like I always have. And this time, I won't hold back."

The Joker cackled wildly, his eyes dancing with sadistic glee. "Oh, Batsy, you've always been so naive. You think you can beat me with your fists?" He produced a knife, holding it up as if to taunt Batman. "But I have a new trick up my sleeve."

Joker pulled the plug out of the outlet. Abruptly turning off the power. David froze. Unable to differentiate between himself in the creature. The Hulk took over.

The Hulk roared with frustration as the machine shut down, his massive fists slamming into the ground. "Hulk smash puny machine!" he bellowed, his anger unleashed.

With a single brutal swipe of his hand, he destroyed the expensive equipment, reducing it to a pile of shattered metal and broken glass.

The Joker watched on in delight, his laughter echoing through the room. "Now that's more like it, Hulk! No need to hold back now!" He took a step closer, his knife glinting in the dim light. "Let's see if big green can take on the Clown Prince of Crime!"

The Hulk grabbed the Joker, and slung him across the room. Then he approached him again.

The Joker let out a high-pitched scream as he was flung across the room, crashing into the far wall with a sickening thud.

He lay in a crumpled heap, his laughter now replaced with a look of panic on his face. "Woah, wait a minute, big guy! We can talk about this! I was just trying to let you have a little fun!"

The Joker cowered before the Hulk, his eyes wide with fear. "Alright, alright! I'm sorry, okay? Just please, don't squish me like a bug!"

He held his hands up in surrender, trying to appear as non-threatening as possible. "We can make a deal, Hulk! I'll give you whatever you want, just name it!"

6

Harley Quinn and Jason sat on the couch. Both talking about what happened.

Harley fidgeted nervously with her hands, her eyes darting around the room. "Do you think David will be alright, Jason?" she asked, her voice trembling. "The Hulk, he can be pretty...dangerous."

Jason slung his arm around Harley's shoulders, pulling her close. "Don't worry, Harls. David's a tough guy. He can handle himself." He reassured her with a smile, his confidence in David unwavering.

Jason kissed her lips and gently rubbed her cheek. "I want to go to the bedroom."

Harley's eyes widened at Jason's suggestion, her cheeks flushing a deep shade of red. "Jason...are you sure?" she asked, her breath catching in her throat.

"It's been three days, baby."Jason pleaded.

Harley hesitated for a moment, her eyes searching Jason's face. "Alright," she finally agreed, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Let's go." With a shaky breath, she took Jason's hand and followed him into the bedroom.

Once they were alone, Jason wrapped his arms around Harley's waist, pulling her close. "I've missed you," he breathed, his voice husky with desire.

He leaned down and captured her lips in a passionate kiss, his hands roaming over her curves.

Harley melted into Jason's embrace, her body responding to his touch with longing.

She tangled her fingers in his hair, deepening the kiss as she pressed herself against him. "I've missed you too," she murmured, her voice barely audible.

They fell onto the bed, lost in a passionate embrace.

Jason's hands roamed over Harley's body, exploring every inch of her. "You're so beautiful," he whispered, his voice hoarse with desire.

He trailed kisses down her neck, his teeth grazing her skin. Harley arched into him, her fingers digging into his back.

As their passion grew, they lost themselves in the moment. Nothing else mattered but each other.

They surrendered to their desires, their bodies moving in perfect harmony as their love deepened with every touch.

As the night wore on, they held each other, their bodies intertwined, their breaths syncing.

They whispered words of love and devotion, their hearts filled with a deep sense of connection.

In that moment, they were two souls united, their bond unbreakable.

As they drifted off to sleep, Harley rested her head on Jason's chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.

Jason held her close, their limbs entangled, their bodies still recovering from their passionate encounter.

In the quiet of the night, they found solace in each other's arms, knowing that they belonged together, and that nothing could ever tear them apart. Tomorrow would bring new challenges, but for now, they savored the warmth of each other's embrace, cherishing every moment of their shared love.

Morning came all too soon. The sun streamed through the window, casting a warm glow over the room. Jason stirred, waking up to the sight of Harley's peaceful face resting on his chest. He smiled softly, reaching out to brush a strand of hair from her eyes.

The Hulk had escaped the hospital, smashing through the concrete walls.

As the Hulk burst out of Gotham General Hospital, the citizens of Gotham scrambled to get out of his way.

Windows shattered as he barreled through the streets, leaving destruction in his wake.

Sirens blared in the distance, but the Hulk showed no sign of slowing down.

The police tried to intercept the rampaging Hulk, but their efforts were in vain.

He smashed through their blockades, sending cars flying through the air.

The civilians of Gotham took cover, their screams filling the air as the Hulk continued his path of destruction.

Suddenly, Batman appeared on the scene, gliding through the air on his cape.

He swiftly surveyed the situation, his mind racing to formulate a plan.

The Hulk was a formidable adversary, but he had faced him before. He knew he had to stop him before he caused any more damage.

With deft precision, Batman soared through the chaos, weaving between the Hulk's massive fists and the rubble that flew through the air.

He landed on a rooftop, and in a few swift moves, produced a tranquilizer gun from his belt.

As the Hulk reared back his fist to smash a building, Batman fired the tranquilizer dart at his exposed neck.

The Hulk staggered backwards, momentarily dazed by the tranquilizer dart. It wasn't enough to fully incapacitate him, but it gave Batman a chance to act.

He quickly fired another dart, aiming for the Hulk's other shoulder. The second dart hit its target, making the Hulk stumble back even further.

Seeing an opportunity to take the Hulk down before he could recover, Batman propelled himself forward with his cape, his fists connecting with the Hulk's chest.

He rained down a flurry of precise punches, targeting vulnerable points that had proven effective in the past.

The Hulk got more angry and his intensity increased, as did in his overall size.

7

With each punch, Batman felt the Hulk growing stronger and more enraged. The tranquilizers were weakening his system, making him more susceptible to Batman's attacks.

Batman narrowed his eyes, his determination unwavering. He knew he had to act fast if he was going to save the city, and put an end to the Hulk's rampage once and for all.

As the Hulk's anger escalated, Batman stepped up his assault. He used his knowledge of the Hulk's weaknesses to his advantage, targeting his pressure points and vulnerable zones.

He evaded the Hulk's powerful swings with agility, relying on his years of experience and training to outmaneuver the massive creature.

The two opponents clashed, their battle echoing across the city. The Hulk's punches grew more powerful, threatening to send Batman flying into the nearest building.

But Batman held his ground, determined to protect the people of Gotham. With a swift move, he dodged a massive fist, grabbing a nearby light pole and swinging himself onto the Hulk's back.

From this vantage point, Batman rained down a series of swift punches, aiming for the Hulk's spinal cord. It was a risky move, but necessary to subdue him.

The Hulk howled in pain and rage, stumbling for a moment before regaining his footing. He reached behind him, trying to grab Batman, but Batman was too fast.

The Hulk increased in size and strength. His power became unmanageable.

The Hulk's frustration boiled over, and he unleashed a powerful punch that sent Batman flying through the air.

Batman rolled as he hit the ground, scrambling to his feet as the Hulk charged towards him. He barely had time to react before the Hulk was upon him, towering above him in all his monstrous glory.

The Hulk let out a deafening roar, his massive fists raining down on Batman with unparalleled force. Batman dodged and weaved, his agility saving him from the worst of the blows.

But he knew he couldn't keep it up for long. The Hulk was simply too strong, too relentless in his attack.

Batman's suit was absorbing some of the impacts, sparing him serious injury, but the strain on his body was evident. He could see the Hulk's veins popping, the muscles in his arms expanding with each punch.

It was a battle of stamina and willpower, and the odds were not in Batman's favor.

Batman's eyes widened as the Hulk began to regenerate at an alarming rate, any damage he incurred healing almost instantly.

It was as if his anger and power were fueling his rapid recovery. Batman knew that he had to end this battle as soon as possible, or Gotham would be leveled in the process.

With a grim determination, Batman focused on a strategy. He knew he couldn't match the Hulk's strength or regenerative abilities, but he had other assets at his disposal.

Bruce had to rely on his cunning, his tactical prowess, and his intellect to find a way to overcome this seemingly insurmountable foe.

He scanned the battlefield, searching for anything that might help him turn the tide. His gaze landed on a nearby construction site, where a crane towered above the rubble.

An idea began to form in his mind.

8

Jason and Harley walked up, and saw Batman fighting the Hulk.

"Are you going to help him?" Harley asked.

"Ugh...how?" Jason wondered, as he looked on.

Batman took a deep breath, centering himself before rushing towards the construction site.

The Hulk followed, his fists clenched in fury. They dodged and weaved through the debris.

Batman leading the Hulk away from the heart of the city.

Reaching the crane, Batman swiftly climbed the steps leading to the operator's cockpit.

The Hulk was close behind him, and he had to act fast.

With a few quick punches to the control panel, he initiated a sequence that caused the giant arm of the crane to swing towards the Hulk.

Anticipating the Hulk's reaction, Batman dove out of the way, narrowly avoiding being crushed under the metal arm. As the Hulk collided with the arm, Batman seized the moment.

Grabbing a nearby hook, he swung towards the Hulk. With one final effort, he slammed the hook into the Hulk's solar plexus, hoping to pierce the vital organ and finally take him down.

The Hulk let out a deafening roar, his body convulsing as the hook sunk deep into his chest. For a moment, everything was still, the city holding its breath as they awaited the outcome of the battle.

But the Hulk was resilient. He bellowed as he wrenched the hook out of his chest, his regeneration process already beginning to repair the damage. The Hulk's eyes glowed with fury as he charged towards Batman once more.

Batman dove out of the way, narrowly avoiding the Hulk's powerful fist. He landed on his feet, quickly putting some distance between them. He had to think logically, strategically.

If he couldn't overpower the Hulk with force alone, he had to outwit him.

Batgirl and Robin appeared on the scene in their outfits, and ready to fight.

As Batgirl and Robin approached, Batman called out to them. "We need to contain him!" he said, gesturing towards the Hulk. Batgirl's heart raced with adrenaline, while Robin's determination was palpable.

They both nodded, ready to do whatever it took to stop the rampaging monster.

The Hulk was angry and increasing in power, strength, and regenerative ability. David wouldn't hurt them, but Hulk would smash them. His rage factor was at a five, maybe six out of ten.

As the Hulk's anger continued to grow, the tension in the air was palpable. Batgirl and Robin huddled together, their minds racing to come up with a plan.

They couldn't let the Hulk leave this battle unscathed, and they knew they had to act fast.

"What if we use the environment against him?" Batgirl suggested, her gaze flicking towards the nearby construction site.

"We can lure him into the construction area, where we have more control over the terrain."

Robin nodded, considering her idea. "And once we have him in a more manageable location, we can use the heavy machinery to pin him down."

"But first, we need to draw him in," Robin said, a sly grin forming on his face. "I have an idea." Batgirl watched as Robin pulled out some smoke pellets from his utility belt.

"Smoke him out," he said, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "It'll create a diversion, and then we can lead him into the construction zone."

The Hulk grabbed Batman and slammed him into a squad car. He hit with a deathly smack.

The sound of Batman's body hitting the squad car echoed through the air.

The sound causing Batgirl and Robin to flinch.

They knew their mentor was tough, but the impact was brutal.

Robin's eyes narrowed as he watched the Hulk advance, his rage growing.

Robin clenched his fists, ready to spring into action. "I'm going in," he said, a determined edge to his voice.

Batgirl nodded, her trust in him unwavering. "Take the high ground," she advised. "Hit him from above, and then lure him towards the construction zone."

The Hulk's power continued to grow, his monstrous form expanding with each passing moment.

Batgirl watched him warily, her mind racing as she attempted to assess just how much force the Hulk could generate.

The ground shook with each of his steps, the Hulk's massive hands ripping through the asphalt with ease.

9

The Hulk didn't like the crowded environment. The Guard, police force, and heroes were too much to bear.  The Hulk didn't like the crowd, lights, or noise. The big green behemoth took off running away from the scene.

Sensing an opportunity, Batgirl and Robin sprang into action. Robin shot out a grapple rope towards one of the taller buildings, swinging himself up onto the roof. Batgirl followed his lead, her grapple gun propelling her through the air.

Now atop the buildings, they had a bird's-eye view of the situation.

The Hulk was running away, his massive form a stark contrast against the cityscape.

But Batgirl and Robin were hot on his trail.

Their boots pounded against the rooftops as they pursued the Hulk, staying just a few steps behind him.

They had to be careful; they couldn't risk getting caught in the crossfire if the Hulk decided to retaliate. But Batgirl and Robin were determined to bring him down.

They couldn't let such a powerful menace roam freely in their city. He was just too fast. Each strike covered so much ground.

The Hulk's massive strides covered vast distances, making it difficult for Batgirl and Robin to keep pace. But they didn't falter; they pushed themselves harder, their determination fueling their every move. The city below was a blur, the buildings and streets a mere backdrop to the high-speed chase.

Batgirl focused on the Hulk's movements, looking for any weaknesses or vulnerabilities.

She needed to exploit them if she wanted to give Robin an opening.

Batgirl's sharp eyes scanned the Hulk as he ran, her mind racing to come up with a plan. Suddenly, she saw her chance.

The Hulk was veering to the right, heading towards a particularly narrow alleyway. "Now!" she shouted to Robin.

Robin nodded, understanding her signal. He took a deep breath and aimed his grapple rope at a nearby building.

With expert precision, he fired the hook, and it lodged itself in the brickwork.

The rope went taut, and he used it to swing himself into the air.

As he soared over the alley, he pulled himself up, using his momentum to swing directly towards the Hulk.

Robin drew back his fist, ready to strike.

《》

The Hulk was too fast. He got away and disappeared into thin air. In true Banner form the beast vanished.

Batman was shattered and broken. The impact with the car, and Hulk's strength, Bruce was completely busted. Jason and Harley were trying to get him help.

Batgirl and Robin searched the area, their eyes scanning every inch of the dark alley. But the Hulk was nowhere to be found. They exchanged glances, their frustration evident. They had been so close, yet he had managed to slip away.

As they regrouped, they noticed that the ground was shaking. The Hulk was gone, but the destruction he had left in his wake was palpable. Buildings were reduced to rubble, and the city was left in shambles. Batgirl let out a sigh, shaking her head. "We'll catch him next time," she said, her voice determined.

They turned their attention to Batman, their mentor and friend who had taken the worst of the beating. They could see that he was badly injured, his strong form bent and broken. They knew they had to act fast to get him the help he needed.

"We need to get him to the hospital, now!" Batgirl said, her voice urgent. Robin nodded in agreement, his concern for Batman's safety palpable. Together, they gently lifted him off the ground and began to carry him towards the nearest medical facility.

Batgirl and Robin pushed through the bustling emergency room, their focus solely on getting Batman the care he urgently needed.

As they approached the triage desk, a nurse rushed over to assist them.

She quickly assessed the situation, her professional demeanor masking her shock at the sight of the injured Batman.

"Emergency, head trauma, multiple fractures and contusions, possible internal bleeding," Robin rattled off, his voice steady but tinged with concern.

The nurse's demeanor hardened, and she sprang into action.

Calling for a gurney and medical staff, she helped Batgirl and Robin lay Batman down on it.

As they wheeled the gurney towards the treatment area, Batgirl turned to Robin, a mixture of worry and determination in her eyes. "Batman's tougher than anyone we know," she said, her voice filled with hope.

"He'll pull through, and we'll be there to help him every step of the way." Robin gave her a small nod, silently agreeing. Together, they watched as the medical team whisked Batman away, leaving them anxiously waiting for any news on their mentor's condition.

They stepped back as the medical team quickly took over, working to stabilize Batman and assess the extent of his injuries.

Time seemed to stand still as they watched helplessly, their minds racing with worst case scenarios.

But they knew they had to remain strong, not only for Batman but for themselves as well. They couldn't let fear consume them.

After what felt like an eternity, a doctor emerged from the treatment area, his face betraying a hint of relief.

"He's stable," he said, his voice firm but kind. "We've managed to stop the internal bleeding, and we're running some tests.

It was touch and go for a while there, but he seems to be in the clear now." Batgirl and Robin exchanged grateful looks, knowing that they had been on the edge of the most disastrous outcome.

As they followed the doctor to Batman's room, they could finally see their mentor laying in the hospital bed.

He was hooked up to various machines, his face pale and drawn, but he was still with them.

Batgirl stepped closer to his bedside, gently holding his hand. "We're here for you, Bruce," she whispered, her voice filled with relief and affection.

Robin approached the opposite side of the bed, his voice equally gentle.

"We'll never leave your side, Batman," he promised, his voice tinged with determination.

The two young heroes shared a brief moment of silent acknowledgment.

Their bond with Batman stronger than ever.

As the hours ticked by, Batgirl and Robin took turns keeping watch over Batman.

The hospital staff bustled in and out, checking on his vitals and making adjustments to his care.

The room was filled with a mix of tension and anticipation, the steady rhythm of the machines providing the only constant in this surreal environment.

With a newfound sense of optimism, they settled into comfortable chairs beside Batman's bedside, their presence a silent promise of unwavering support.

They watched over him, their hearts still filled with worry but now also tinged with a renewed determination to see Batman through this difficult time.

Even in his injured state, Batman managed a slight shift in his head, a silent gesture of acknowledgment.

The heroes exchanged grateful glances, finding hope in the small but significant movement.

They knew it was the beginning of a long recovery process for their mentor, but for now, they were just thankful he was alive.

As the night wore on, the heroes' exhaustion began to show. Yawns escaped them involuntarily, their bodies yearning for rest.

Batgirl exchanged looks with Robin, silently communicating their shared weariness.

It was clear that they would have to take turns sleeping, ensuring that one of them was always awake to monitor Batman's condition.

Robin took the first watch, sitting upright in his chair as he kept a vigilant eye on Batman.

Batgirl, after a few moments of hesitation, leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes, allowing herself to drift into a light slumber.

The hospital room was filled with a heavy silence, the steady beeping of the machines the only sound that pierced the quiet night.

As Batgirl slept, a sense of unease settled over Robin. He shifted his gaze to Batman, his eyes scrutinizing every detail.

The rhythm of the machines remained steady, but something about the stillness of Batman's form sent a chill down his spine.

He leaned a little closer, studying the subtle rise and fall of Batman's chest.

As the door to the hospital room swung open, Selina and Alfred emerged, their expressions marked by a mixture of grief and resignation.

Batgirl and Robin looked at each other questioningly...but they were glad to see each other. Selina loved Bruce. More than she ever knew how to show.

She could see the sad looks on their faces. Selina knew...he wasn't going to make it through this time. He'd walked away from so much, so many times, but what now?

The air in the room seemed to thicken, each tick of the wall clock echoing loudly in their ears.

As the two approached Batman's bedside, a heavy silence settled over the room. It was as if time itself had paused, the three superheroes waiting with bated breath for Selina and Alfred to speak.

 A single tear fell.

10

The room was filled to the brim with well-wishers and concerned individuals, all there to check on the health of the critically injured Batman.

Commissioner Gordon stopped in, Harvey Bullock, Frank Castle, Oswald Cobblepot, and Harvey Dent, as well as Moon Knight.

Frank Castle agreed to hang around and help them keep Gotham City under control.

They were better served by aiding Batman. Folks cared for Bruce/Batman. There was an outpouring of respect.

Batman lay quietly...barely clinging on to life. Machines helping him remain alive.

Commissioner Gordon, his face etched with worry, approached the bedside, his eyes locked on the fallen caped crusader.

As he stood there, a mixture of sadness and respect on his face, the others gathered around him, forming a silent vigil of support for their wounded hero.

Among the many visitors, Selina and Alfred were a constant presence, their faces etched with concern for their friend and ally.

Batgirl and Robin stood nearby, their expressions mirroring the same worry and love for the most incredible man they ever knew.

As minutes turned into hours, a somber hush hung heavily over the room.

The only sounds were the machines maintaining Batman's vitals and the occasional quiet whispers of loved ones praying for his recovery.

It was a scene of quiet desperation, the superheroes holding onto hope even as they faced the possibility of losing their beloved mentor and friend.

The Joker walked in. "Without Batman...I have no purpose. I made him, and he made me. We were what made the other what we'd become. The best at what we do."

The Joker's unexpected entrance caused a ripple of shock and anger among the gathered superheroes.

Commissioner Gordon and Harvey Dent looked particularly incensed, their expressions stern as they stared down the infamous villain.

However, the Joker merely ignored their angry glares, his gaze fixed on Batman's unconscious form.

As he spoke, describing how he and Batman were a sort of twisted creation of one another, the atmosphere in the room grew even more charged.

Everyone waited with baited breath, their eyes darting between the Joker and Batman.

As the Joker continued, his tone taking on a philosophical and almost sentimental edge, a sense of unease settled over the room. This wasn't the usual chaotic behavior they had come to expect from him - there was a calmness in his demeanor that disturbed them.

Batgirl's mind raced, trying to make sense of what was happening.

Was the Joker actually expressing a twisted form of grief over the potential loss of his arch-nemesis?

The Joker's voice droned on, drawing everyone further into the strange and surreal moment.

The superheroes exchanged glances, unsure of what to make of this unexpected display from the Clown Prince of Crime.

Even in this moment of crisis, the Joker never ceased to surprise them with his unpredictable nature.

As he concluded his monologue, the Joker stepped away from Batman's bedside, his eerie calm never wavering.

Without a word, he made his way towards the door, leaving as mysteriously as he had arrived.

The silence he left behind was deafening, the weight of his words still hanging in the air.

Commissioner Gordon and the others exchanged looks, their confusion only deepening with each passing moment.

Batgirl, in particular, was unnerved by what she had witnessed. She couldn't shake off the unsettling feeling that the Joker's visit held a deeper meaning, something that she couldn't quite grasp. It was as if he had left a message for them, hidden beneath the layers of his strange behavior.

As the echoes of the Joker's departure faded away, Batgirl turned towards Commissioner Gordon, her eyes holding a silent plea. "Commissioner," she spoke, her voice gentle but firm. "We need to find out why the Joker came here. He wouldn't have shown up just to give a speech. There's something more to his visit that we're not seeing..."

Commissioner Gordon looked at her with weary respect. "You're right, Batgirl. We have to get to the bottom of this. Let's put a team together and investigate. The Joker never does anything without a purpose." He turned to the gathered superheroes. "Who's in? We need all hands on deck for this one."

The detectives had collected the notes Banner left behind. They were being examined along with his medical writing. David wanted to go back to thank Batman, and when he heard Batman was hurt, David considered going back regardless of Ross or McGee.

Batman had believed in him, and that might not seem like much, but to David it was. It was something he had long been missing. Someone who has your back, but really stands on that too. David knew he was close. He couldn't risk going back.

Various hands raised in unison, showing their unwavering commitment to the cause.

Commissioner Gordon nodded, satisfaction glowing on his face. "Good. We'll work together to solve this mystery. For Batman's sake, and for this city. We can't let the Joker get the best of us, not now."

With their determination unwavering, the superheroes prepared themselves for the unpredictable journey they were about to embark on.

Batgirl and Robin stood in a parking lot behind the hospital.

"I'm worried about Bruce, Barb." Damian said.

"Yes, I know. I understand."

Damian looked into Barbara's eyes. "Don't you remember that time you took my virginity, Barbara?"

Batgirl freezes at Damian's sudden bold statement, taken aback by its inappropriate nature given their current situation and setting.

"Damian, what the hell? This really isn't the time or place for such personal revelations!"

Barbara hissed under her breath, glancing around nervously to ensure no one overheard.

Stepping back slightly, Barbara crossed her arms defensively over her chest.

A shudder runs through her as Damian's lips meet hers, the heat of their mouths igniting a flame within her despite Batgirl's reservations. Her hands clutch at Damian's shoulders reflexively.

"Damian..." Barbra breathes out, breaking the kiss briefly,

"We shouldn't... Not here. Not now..." She said.

Even as Barbara weakly protests, she feels her body responding to his, betraying her true desires.

Her heart pounded wildly beneath the confines of her Batsuit.

"Quickly then, if you must insist." Barb conceded breathlessly, all while scanning the surroundings anxiously.

Nobody was around.

"Hurry, DamDamian...fuck me."

Batgirl urged, her voice laden with pent-up desire and anticipation.

In record speed, they shed essential layers, the cool night air. Barb shrugs off her cape and outer suit top, exposing my sports bra underneath.

Damian wastes no time yanking down the fabric barrier, freeing her ample breasts to his hungry gaze.

"Fuck, Barb...you're stunning!"

Damian's hardness springs free as she dives in. He was making her lick her lips hungrily at the sight of his cock.

Without hesitation, Barb wraped her hand around his impressive length, stroking firmly as she guided his dick into her entrance.

"Fuck Barb, you feel incredible... So hot and tight around me. Been dreaming of doing this again, baby."

Grunting primitively. "Ah fuck, Barb...it feels so good, baby."

"Now, Damian. Take me NOW. Hard and fast, like there's no tomorrow." Barb said.

"Oh god Damian, I'm going to cum."

"Do it, Barb. Let go. Want to feel you coming apart on my cock." Damian said.

"DAMIAN!! YESSSS!!"

Come for me, Damian. Not in me though. I don't want to get pregnant. I'm not on birth control." Barbra said.

Then, with a guttural moan of completion, Damian buried himself to the hilt as his orgasm overtakes him.

"You fucking came inside me! Are you fucking kidding me?" Batgirl said in anger.

"Fuck...what could I do? It felt too good." Damian replied.

They quickly got dressed. Nobody had seen them. It helped ease the frustration and nervousness.

Batman was still on life support. Neither Banner or Joker were found.
