Gotham City After Midnight: The Mighty One
The mighty Alpha One
1
There were others, that was a concept that Alpha One never considered. There'd been no reason for to think that there had been. Had they always been there? If so he could not understand how he was unaware of that fact.
He'd heard of a Superman. The guy didn't have any powers that Alpha-One himself didn't have. He wanted to see these heroes. It appeared that Gotham City had the most super powered heroes. The research indicated that they did in fact exist.
Gabriel Cole checked into his hotel room. Not before he flew around the city a few times. He didn't see any thing that he had heard existed there. That didn't mean that they weren't there, and Alpha One suspected strongly that they were in Gotham City. Were they really as powerful as he was? That thought intrigued him quite a bit. In the 250 years he'd been on Earth, he never imagined that such super heroes were out there.
His research had been thoroughly sifted through and the National Reporter, The Daily Planet, and the New York Times, and several other publications reported incidents involving the alleged heroes. He hoped to find out a little more about them from Jim Gordon. Gabriel Cole disguised his visit to Gotham City as business. He was supposed to be in Gotham City observing the newest equipment and seeing the way that things are handled in the big city.
"Yes, I'm Gabriel Cole, and I'm here to see Lieutenant Gordon."
Jim Gordon walked out to meet the visitor. He was a strapping six foot, three inch, muscular man in a black and blue button down suit. Jim Gordon knew that someone was going to come visit the station. He did not know that the guy wasn't really who he said he was.
"I'm Gordon." Jim walked up to the man.
"Hey man, I have been brought out here to learn from the best." Alpha One said.
"Yes...it's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Cole. Let me introduce you to a few people and show you around." Jim said.
Alpha One walked alongside Gordon as he was being shown the station. The technology was a bit outdated compared to what he'd seen elsewhere but the people seemed competent which was what really mattered.
The training seemed to be pretty thorough.
He tried to maintain his concentration at the various stops but he kept thinking of the super powered people that he was told lived in Gotham.
The tour of the building was pretty impressive even if the equipment was out-dated by at least 20 or so years. One interesting thing he was certain that he'd seen was an old Batmobile. That confirmed that Batman did indeed exist.
Gordon was indeed starting to feel a bit suspicious. This was the first time someone actually admitted to him that he didn't think the Batman was real.
He'd never given much thought of who didn't believe he was real. If he had, it would have been a civilian who would not have been familiar with the criminals in the city and the odd injuries they have been seen with.
This guy was a law officer and he didn't think the Batman was real. That was very odd indeed. He had said he was sent out here to learn a few things.
He would certainly have to monitor this man closely. If there was a mole from the crime world or from some other source, it was highly likely that the entire city would be in serious trouble if they were able to get information on how to deal with the city's super heroes, or to find out who they were, even the identities of their friends and families. The criminals in Gotham were very capable and would jump at the sight of any information that they could exploit.
Gordon decided to get the guy into a more private area. He lead him into an area where they normally took suspects. He wanted to observe him and maybe even interrogate him if he was indeed an intruder.
Jim Gordon brought Alpha-One into the same room that they usually interrogated their suspects in.
"Have a seat right there." Jim pointed to a chair which was attached to the floor.
Alpha-One sat down in the chair and waited to see what was going to happen next. He was actually amused and very curious to see what he was going to be asked. He didn't suspect that Jim was on to him. He was not his partner as he was claiming to be.
Jim Gordon sat down across from Alpha-One. He observed him closely as he took a note pad and laid it on the table. He wanted to check Alpha One's emotional responses as he asked him a few questions.
"So you don't think Batman is real? Is that it?"
"Oh...I'm sure that he's real now, but until I got here I was skeptical." Alpha-One replied.
Gordon could see that the "Lieutenant" was completely calm as he spoke. It was difficult to actually read him even when he was asking questions that could cause someone to get agitated or nervous. It was highly possible that this man had been trained not to react to things so that his responses couldn't be read. If he was an infiltrator, Gordon was sure of one thing: a simple interrogation wasn't going to cut it.
"Do you think that I could meet Batman?" Alpha-One inquired. "It'd truly be an honor."
Jim Gordon looked at him with a puzzled expression on his face. He was getting better at reading people and the question itself was a bit unusual.
"Well, I suppose anything is possible, but no one really knows who or even where he is."
Jim was thinking that the question itself was very odd. If this "Lieutenant Cole" was sent out here just to learn some things then why was he asking about Batman.
"Tell me something Jim...are the others real too? Nightwing, Red Hood, and Superman?" Alpha-One asked.
Jim was in fact now suspicious that this man was an infiltrator, but he really had to make sure. He decided to go fishing for information.
"Yes, they are all real. The Bat Family is very real. Nightwing, Red Hood, Batwoman, Robin, Bat Girl, and of course Batman. The first time I saw Superman was like seeing a god right in front of me. It's a sight I'll never forget."
"Superman is...indescribable, to say the least. I've witnessed him do more than enough to convince me he's some sort of god, or a god in the making. The guy's from the planet Krypton and has the strength of ten thousand horses. He has the ability to fly, to lift entire buildings effortlessly."
Jim was still watching the guy's facial expression. He was just as calm as he was before. The guy was like a rock.
Jim watched him as he asked the question. He observed that the man's interest seemed to increase. He was definitely keeping an eye on the guy.
"No, Superman is just an all around great guy. He just wants to do the right thing and keep people safe. He doesn't expect anything in return."
It was true that in the majority of cases Superman was indeed one of the good heroes and was usually a good influence and a good example. The only time he'd seen him do something wrong was when Lois was involved.
"That is truly incredible. Do you know what the temptation would be like when you hold that much power?" Alpha-One asked. Because he knew full and well what powers like that could make a man do. He'd been there plenty of times. Giving in without a fight.
Jim observed him more closely again as he asked that question. There was something in his facial expression that made Jim think the guy was hiding something. He was still calm which meant he was a well trained agent from a world power, he was sure.
"Power can make or break a man. Sometimes it will consume a man, if he allows it to, turning him into something he didn't want to be. A perfect example of that is Superman's evil twin, Bizarro."
"I would be lying if I said that I'd never abused my authority as an officer, but I know the struggles and moral dilemmas involved with the position of power too." Alpha-One answered.
Jim was still observing the guy very closely. The fact that this guy admitted that he'd abused his authority made Jim even more curious about him. He was very calm and didn't really flinch at anything Jim said nor did he react to Jim's question of him possibly being an infiltrator. That could just mean he was trained not to react but if that was in fact the case, Jim was going to have to get a bit more personal and make this guy slip up.
"I'm beginning to think that you're not here to learn anything."
"Is that right, Jim? Then why do you think that I'm here?" Alpha-One inquired.
Jim looked him straight in the eyes. "I'm beginning to wonder if you're actually here to infiltrate the city and gather intelligence."
Alpha-One chuckled as Jim said that. He wasn't really taking his accusations seriously. "And what exactly makes you think that?"
Jim was now starting to get irritated. The guy's constant calmness and even responses was getting on his nerves. "Well for starters you claim that you've never heard of Batman despite him being a public figure for the past ten years. Not only that but even after you supposedly learned that he was real, you wanted to know if others are real as well. That's not normal."
Alpha-One just smiled as Jim said all of that. "It's not normal to ask questions?"
Jim was getting more irritated with his responses. The guy was treating this as a joke. The man was certainly starting to get under his skin. "Don't play stupid with me pal. If you're truly here to just learn then why do you only want to know about the various heroes around here?"
Jim was irritated just by the way the guy was talking to him. He didn't like what he was really thinking about this guy, but the more he talked to him, the more it came to mind. "You must think I'm dumb, don't you? I know what you're up to and I know that you're not here to learn anything at all."
"Then what am I up to, Jim? If you know what i'm up to, what is it?" Alpha-One smiled. "No...Jim. I don't think you're stupid. Right the opposite. I think you are incredibly intelligent, sir. However, you obviously aren't sleeping well or something. You are thinking too far out of the box."
Jim was seriously confused about that last thought. He felt that the guy was trying to manipulate his thought process with that statement. However, he couldn't really deny what the guy said about him not sleeping right. The past few nights had been rough.
"You're just trying to throw me off, aren't you?"
"No sir, Jim. I hope you believe me on that too. I respect the job we do more than that. We are just one big family trying to make things right across the country, right?"
Jim just looked at him with a perplexed look on his face. Every statement the guy said wasn't really suspicious on it's own, but Jim's instincts kept saying something was off. He just didn't know what or how he was so sure about it.
"What are you getting at? Are you trying to butter me up?"
Alpha-One chuckled a bit and smiled. "No Jim, I'm just getting acquainted. I enjoy a little conversation. I don't know anyone around here yet."
There was something about the way the guy said that last statement, and also about the conversation in general, that Jim found odd.
It really felt like he was trying to play a game with Jim but he just couldn't put his finger on it.
Either this guy was the most professional infiltrator he ever met or Jim was going crazy.
Jim decided to take a different approach and changed the subject. "Say if you are who you are who you say you are and you're just here to really learn, then why aren't you writing down anything I say? I mean if you really wanna learn. Don't you think you should take down some notes?"
Alpha-One tapped the side of his head. "I can remember it all, Jim. Plus you've been interrogating me. Not much else. Do you folks have a cup of coffee in this joint?"
Jim took a moment to gather his thoughts as the guy requested a cup of coffee. It was a bit odd that he didn't want to take any notes and was only relying on his memory.
"Yeah we have coffee."
Jim got up from the table and walked over to a coffee brewing machine that was over by the end of the room. He poured a cup and handed it to Alpha-One.
2
Alpha-One liked ole Jim, but he didn't even know him, and he could tell that the stresses of the job were getting to the veteran officer.
It caused him to come across as a complete crazy person. Alpha-One knew that Jim was not crazy or ignorant. Definitely due for a long vacation out of the city.
"Thanks for the coffee, Jim." Alpha-One showed his gratitude.
Jim let out a little exhale. The guy was definitely odd to say the least, but Jim knew deep down that he couldn't prove anything as of now.
What he really needed to do was just focus on the interrogation so that maybe he could find something out.
"Yeah. Don't mention it."
Jim sat back down and just observed the guy as he took a sip of the coffee.
"You know Jim...there is something I am very curious about..." Alpha-One stated.
Jim was still keeping an eye on the guy, but he was also curious as to what the guy was going to ask. "And what's that?"
"Well...if Gotham has a man with the power of a god patrolling this city along the other guys, why isn't this city a peaceful place to live in? You have an entire team of superheroes and other vigilantes that would make this the safest place to live on Earth."
"Well...Superman isn't from Gotham, but he can be anywhere on the planet in the blink of an eye. Gotham City doesn't have a entity that has the power of Superman."
Alpha-One just nodded as he thought about what Jim said. He was very much aware of the guy's abilities, as were most. He was only playing dumb to better familiarize himself to the area.
The door opened...
Jim turned his attention towards the door and immediately recognized the man who showed up. It was Harvey Dent, the district attorney. He looked back at Alpha-One and back to Harvey before nodding in response to his question.
"Yeah sure Harvey."
Jim walked over to Harvey, wondering what had brought him here.
"Jim...we have an issue that's currently evolving." Dent just put it bluntly, not to keep him any longer than he needed to be.
Jim had a confused look on his face as Harvey said that.
"What do you mean? What's going on?"
Jim had to admit that he was getting a bad feeling just by the tone in Harvey's voice.
"So do you remember, uh...Bane?" Harvey Dent asked.
Jim's expression turned a bit serious as Harvey said the name. Of course he remembered Bane. The guy was one of the most dangerous convicts around.
"Yeah...yeah I remember Bane. What about him?"
"He's in Gotham City looking for Batman. He wants to work with Batman for a new Gotham City. One that's crime free. Cobblepot wants him arrested or removed from Gotham City." Harvey Dent explained. "He might just get his wish too. Bane had a bounty of a million dollars and Frank Castle and Matt Murdock are allegedly on their way to Gotham City to get Bane. I thought he was in the state penitentiary, but I guess not."
Jim was definitely taken aback when Harvey mentioned that Matt and Frank were coming to Gotham. He knew just how ruthless they were, and while he didn't disagree that they were good at what they did, their methods of doing things were really brutal.
"Hold on a second. Frank Castle and Matt Murdock? How do you know all of this and why are they coming to Gotham?"
"It was a heads up call when they took out the paperwork on Bane." Dent answered.
Jim let out a sigh of irritation when he heard that. He couldn't believe that they were just allowing two violent vigilantes work in Gotham.
"And let me guess, they got the paperwork approved already."
Harvey nodded. "They were approved immediately after the two agreed to work on it together." Dent explained.
Jim just shook his head in frustration.
"Of course they were. They're always ready to approve guys like them."
Jim just didn't feel comfortable with the two of them roaming around Gotham. He knew how they worked and the thought of them and their way of conducting things around his home just didn't sit well with him.
"Yeah it's their success rate but fuck collateral damage." Harvey agreed.
Jim let out another sigh. The fact that they were always given a free pass, just because of their success rate was so aggravating to him.
"The collateral damage is my main concern." Jim voiced the thoughts that were on his mind.
"Those guys are a bit trigger happy and I wouldn't want them causing more issues for the people of the city."
Alpha-One walked out into the hallway. "Would you gentleman like me to go with you. Your best bet is to get to Bane before the others do."
"He's right, and that goes for Batman too. That's bad blood there. Maybe we can swiftly handle this." Jim Gordon said.
"We can, sir." Alpha-One answered.
Jim turned his attention to Alpha-One and just looked him up and down for a moment. The guy wanted to go with them. Jim thought about trying to deny him, but he honestly didn't have a legitimate reason to.
"Alright. Come with us."
Jim left the room with Harvey and Alpha-One, and they went outside to Jim's car, which was unmarked.
"Just get in the back." Jim said as he got in the driver's seat.
Harvey got in the passenger seat, and Alpha-One got in the back. It was a tight squeeze. Jim cranked the car and turned out of the police station.
The car ride was pretty quiet as they were driving. Jim was focused on the road with Harvey sitting next to him, and Alpha-One, despite his height, was sitting in the back. He had to move the seat back to give him some room, but it was still a bit tight.
Jim was still trying to figure out Alpha-One because everything he said and did was a bit odd. He still couldn't really place what it was about the guy that was off-putting.
They found Bane in the Gotham City Underground. The physical city that was underneath the current Gotham City. The homeless people mostly occupied the cavern like city, but it hadn't been used as Gotham City since before the Civil War. The battles took place in the current Gotham City.
"Mister Gordon , if I did not intend for you to find me you wouldn't have found me." Bane said.
Jim could tell that this was going to be a difficult confrontation, but he was just happy that they had gotten to Bane before Frank and Matt did.
"Bane...there's a million dollar bounty on your head." Jim said as he stepped out of the car and took a few steps towards Bane. He had his hand on his gun but didn't unsheathe it just yet.
Harvey also stepped out and stood a few feet behind Jim.
Jim wasn't too surprised that Bane was already starting to get riled up. This was just how he always was. All it took was one wrong word and he'd lose it in an instant.
"The problem is that they're gonna kill you." Jim stated simply.
At the back of the car, Alpha-One got out and stood there with Harvey. He was studying the situation as it was unfolding in front of him.
"Ha ha ha...Let them try. I've killed many who have tried and I will kill many more..." Bane said in an eerily calm manner. It was honestly disturbing.
Jim could tell that this was only going to get worse. He had to somehow try to de-escalate the situation.
"Bane...just think about this for a second. You can't seriously think that you and Batman can make this city a crime-free place."
"I'm positive as I can possibly be." Bane said. Then he leaned in closer, and whispered. "I know who I'm working with, Jim Gordon. I know who Batman is behind the mask."
Jim's eyes widened when Bane said that to him. It was surprising and frightening at the same time.
"Y-you know?" Was all Jim could manage to get out.
He just didn't understand how Bane figured it out. It was supposed to be a well guarded secret only a few people within Gotham were aware of, and it was supposed to stay that way.
"That identity won't be revealed by me...but I think you see how we fix the problem long term, right?" Bane questions Jim.
"We'd be limitless in our opinions and procedure." Bane explained. "Ditch the no kill rule, and put the fear of god in them."
Jim was just staring at Bane at this point. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. This guy was talking about getting rid of the no-kill rule? That was one of the things that made Batman the hero that he was.
"Bane....that rule separates your crusade from the criminals. Take that away and you're no different from the criminals you want to get rid of." Jim argued. He couldn't understand how this guy's mind worked.
"You think so...how many times have the same criminals continued to cause problems?" Bane questions that process.
Jim let out a frustrated sigh when Bane brought up that point. He knew that, unfortunately, the guy had a point. The criminals in Gotham were extremely stubborn, and many of them kept coming back, despite how many times they were locked up.
Jim was just going to keep trying to convince Bane that this was a bad idea when he heard the sound of a vehicle approaching from somewhere behind him. He looked back and saw another car pulling towards the scene.
Harvey saw it as well and he let out an annoyed grunt.
"Shit...it's them." He said.
"Then we will see if they're ready to kill me. They'd better be ready or the tables will turn." Bane said in a matter of fact way.
The two just stared one another down. It was a tense moment as Jim and Harvey watched them. Frank's hand was hovering over his holstered handgun.
Both men stood still until Frank spoke again.
"You know why we're here, Bane."
"I also know that you know why I'm here." Bane responded. His entire stance changed as he got into a battle position. "It's my destiny to bring an end to the crime in Gotham City. You two can go...or Batman and myself will remove you."
Matt just started to chuckle. He honestly couldn't take Bane seriously.
"Your destiny? Don't make me laugh." Matt said as his chuckling turned into laughing.
Before either of them could react, Frank grabbed Matt by the arm and pulled him back.
"Wait a minute. I'm going first." Frank said. He then took a few steps forward. "You really think that you and The Bat can stop all the crime in Gotham? Are you really that stupid?"
"I'm about to crush you, Castle." Bane growled.
"Oh boy...I'm so scared." Frank responded sarcastically. He was not going to be intimidated by the huge guy.
Alpha-One motioned for Jim Gordon. "You just let me know when I need to assist you with this conflict."
Jim looked up at Alpha-One and just nodded. He knew that at some point, there was going to be a fight whether he wanted it to happen or not, and he could use the assist.
"Will do." Jim said, just as he heard Frank and Bane squaring up.
Frank stared at Bane as he cracked his knuckles. He had a cold look of determination on his face as he got into a boxing position.
Bane simply lunged forward and threw the first punch. Frank was easily able to avoid the punch and responded with a swift hit to Bane's ribs. The punch didn't seem to have much of an effect on Bane, unfortunately.
Bane just grunted when he felt the impact. The punch didn't seem to faze him much, and he immediately struck again, aiming for Frank's head.
Frank managed to dodge the blow, but just barely.
They just kept throwing fists. Neither of them seemed to have the upper hand just yet. They were both just as tough as the other. Every hit was either dodged or tanked without much of an effect.
Frank threw another powerful punch. It hit Bane right in the jaw but still didn't seem to phase him. That was a problem. Bane had a chin that was made of concrete, it seemed like.
Bane then retaliated with a devastating headbutt that hit Frank square in the face. This time it was Frank that got rocked, and he stumbled back as he tried to steady himself from the powerful hit.
Frank's nose was bleeding, and he just stood there for a moment and tried to compose himself. He wiped the blood from his nose and then looked as Bane, who was stalking towards him.
Bane grabbed him by the shirt and then slammed him down on the ground. The impact dazed Frank, and Bane got into mount position, and he raised one of his heavy fists before bringing it down towards Frank's face at full force.
Frank just barely brought his arms up in time to block the hit, but the impact still did plenty of damage to him. His arms felt like they were on fire, and Bane didn't show any signs of stopping.
They were both just baffled at how easily Alpha-One had stopped the powerful hit.
Frank was stunned as he sat up on the ground and just looked at Alpha-One in confusion. That had to have been something he was hallucinating from all of the blows to the head, right?
Jim and Harvey were just speechless. They couldn't believe what they saw.
Bane was pissed off that he was interrupted. "Let go..." He growled, struggling to break free of Alpha-One's grip.
"Bane...you are angry. I get that, but you can still organize the peace plan you have designed. Let's just discuss the process and issues at hand." Alpha-One suggested.
Bane just let out an annoyed grunt and then he stopped struggling against Alpha-One's grip. He knew that there was no way that he was going to break free.
"Fine..." Bane grumbled.
Alpha-One nodded and slowly loosened his grip on Bane's wrist, making sure that he wasn't going to try anything.
Jim and Harvey both let out a sigh of relief as they felt the tension in the air lessening.
Frank just sat there and continued to look at Alpha-One in shock. The guy saved his head and Castle knew that.
After a moment, Alpha-One decided to let go of Bane's wrist completely and took a step back, creating some distance between the two.
Bane pulled his wrist back and rubbed it. He was clearly angry about being stopped like that, but he also knew that he couldn't do anything about it.
"Who in the hell is this guy?" Bane asked.
Harvey let out a short chuckle as he watched Bane get humbled by Alpha-One.
"Beats me. Never seen anyone move like that..." Harvey said, still stunned by what he saw.
"Neither have I." Jim said, nodding in agreement.
"I'm the Mighty Alpha-One...I'm what you call a Superman." He replied. "I once thought that I was the only one of my kind here on Earth." Alpha-One explained.
Bane just looked at Alpha-One for a moment, just trying to process what he said.
"You're...a Superman?" Bane asked, and he was clearly not convinced. Then his expression changed to one of anger as he realized something.
"Wait a minute..." Bane said, and he started to take a step forward. "You're one of those aliens that came from Krypton, right?"
"No...I'm not from there. I'm from, Zeta Pegasi, from the Omniverse." Alpha-One answered.
"Right. From the...Omniverse." Bane said sarcastically. He was still not convinced.
"Sounds like some made up nonsense to me." Bane said as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"Well...it's not made up. It's true." Alpha-One said in a matter of fact way.
"And you've been hiding here on Earth? This entire time?" Bane questioned.
"I've been here for a while, yeah why?" Alpha-One chuckled.
Jim Gordon had been trying to figure out what was going on with Alpha-One, but he'd have never figured out that he was an alien to the planet. He looked like a well kept man in his thirties. This was actually unbelievable, but Jim knew better. He had seen the unexplainable before. He understood that well enough.
"I find it hard to believe that someone with such power as you could go unnoticed for so long." Bane answered as he took a step closer to Alpha-One.
Harvey looked at Jim, and Jim just shrugged. They had no idea what to make of this.
"What do you want from me, Bane?" Alpha-One asked. "I'm here. I'm trying to become a better person. Like your Superman. Morals in the right places and unwavering in his conviction. I admire that. I know how hard it can be. You know...to not do the wrong thing with such power."
Bane let out a scoff when he heard Alpha-One mention Superman. "Superman... The self-righteous idiot. The world would be better off without him."
It was clear that Bane had no love for Superman.
"Why would you say that?" Alpha-One asked curiously. He was actually pretty surprised to hear such a strong opinion on Superman.
"Because he is nothing more than a symbol of false hope." Bane explained. "He thinks that he has the world's best interests at heart, but all he does is cause problems. He stands in the way of those who try to do what's necessary to fix things."
"You are the first person to speak negatively about him." Alpha-One said.
"I doubt that." Bane answered. "There are plenty of people who see through his facade. They know that he's nothing more than a pompous fraud with a god complex."
Bane's expression darkened as he continued speaking.
3
Matt Murdock wanted to take Bane back to NYC to stand trial for the crimes that he committed. Also to collect the million dollars in reward money. Both he and Castle needed the cash.
Matt stepped forward. "You're coming with me, Bane." He said firmly.
Bane just let out a scoff. "And why would I do that?" He asked, not amused by Matt's demands.
"Because I have a warrant for your arrest." Matt responded calmly.
Bane rolled his eyes at Matt's words and took another step forward. "And what if I refuse?" he asked, a smirk on his face.
"It won't benefit your health to choose that choice." Daredevil said.
Bane just chuckled at Daredevil's comment. "You think you can stop me, Daredevil? I've taken down your kind before." He said confidently.
Bane's smirk quickly faded when he heard the threat. He knew that Matt wasn't kidding, and he didn't want to risk getting shot.
He grunted and crossed his arms over his chest. "Fine. You can take me in. But I have conditions."
"Condition, huh?" Matt chuckled "You've got no room for demands convict, but let's hear this nonsense." Murdock said.
Bane let out a low growl, not happy with Matt's response, but he knew that he didn't have much of a choice in the matter.
"I'm not going to be cuffed or locked in some cramped cell like some common thug." he said through gritted teeth.
"That's not my call to make...Bane." Matt Murdock said. "You'll be in their possession by that point."
Bane gritted his teeth and narrowed his eyes. He was not happy with Matt, but he knew that he didn't have much of a choice here.
"Fine." he grumbled after a moment. "But you better not hand me over to some corrupt cop. I don't want to wind up in some crooked cell."
"You release Bane right now." An unfamiliar voice said. "Otherwise this situation will burn out of control."
Everyone at the scene was shocked by Lex's sudden appearance. Jim and Harvey were stunned by the sight, while Frank and Alpha-One both tensed up. Matt just tilted his head in confusion.
Bane's eyes widened when he saw Lex and the cyborg Superman walk out of the shadows.
"I'm the man of Steel...you will comply with these demands from Mr. Luther." The Cybernetic Superman said.
"We don't comply with a criminal's demands." Alpha-One said.
Lex Luthor smirked as he walked over to Alpha-One. He stopped only a few feet in front of him.
"You..." Lex said, looking Alpha-One up and down. "You're not from this world...are you" It sounded like a statement, not a question.
"You don't know what you're talking about, Luthor."
Lex let out a chuckle. "Oh, I think I do..." he said, a sly smile on his face. He then took a step closer to Alpha-One, and there was an intensity in his gaze.
"You're an alien...aren't you" he said, his voice low and dangerous.
Alpha-One took a step back instinctively. He wasn't afraid of Lex, but the way Lex was looking at him was unsettling.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Alpha-One said, trying to play dumb.
"If you think that AI, generic Superman will help you, then you're going to be pissed off to learn the truth." Alpha-One said. "Something has given you a false confidence."
"AI? You think the Justice Cyborg is an AI?!" Lex said, his eyes narrowing at Alpha-One. He looked offended that Alpha-One would even suggest such a thing.
"The Justice Cyborg is a pinnacle feat in cybernetic technology, and you think that it's just some dumb artificial intelligence?!"
Alpha-One smirked. "Are you offended? You look offended."
"You actually think that you've really created an obedient version of Superman, don't you?" Alpha-One asked, a hint of amusement in his voice.
"You will be calling for Superman to help you out against this marvelous masterpiece of technology." Lex said.
"Oh really? You think so, huh?" Alpha-One said in a challenging way.
"Of course, I do." Lex answered confidently. "The Justice Cyborg is a marvel of engineering. It doesn't feel, it doesn't show emotion, and it can't be broken or manipulated."
The Justice Cyborg remained deathly still and silent as Lex spoke about it's abilities.
"But that's the problem. It doesn't feel emotion. And that is its weakness." Alpha-One said.
"Superman isn't just a force of nature, he's also a man. A good man. And it's his humanity that gives him the strength to overcome anything. Something that the Justice Cyborg will never have."
Alpha-One looked at the Justice Cyborg, taking in its cold, emotionless form. "Get it out of here before I turn it into a fancy trash bin."
Lex's expression darkened when Alpha-One made his threat. "You're underestimating the power of my creation." he said, "The Justice Cyborg may not have emotions like Superman, but that also means it's not burdened by compassion or weakness either. It's completely devoted to a single cause - to stop you."
"Well you see, Lex...I'm not really there yet myself. I'm working on myself, but I don't have any sense of compassion or relationships to hold me back. So if you want to see me destroy this creepy thing...I'll gladly do that for you." Alpha-One showed no issues with crossing the lines.
"Do it then." Lex challenged Alpha-One. "If you think you can easily destroy the Justice Cyborg, then go ahead. Show me what you're capable of."
Alpha-One smirked. "Watch and learn."
With a burst of speed, Alpha-One appeared in front of the Justice Cyborg and grabbed it by the front of its suit. Before anyone could even react, he hurled the cyborg into a nearby building, sending stone and debris flying everywhere.
The Justice Cyborg crashed through the building and out through the other side. It slowly stood up, completely unharmed by the impact.
Lex's smirk faltered as he watched Alpha-One handle the Justice Cyborg with such ease. He hadn't expected the alien to be so powerful.
"Impressive, isn't it?" Alpha-One said, his gaze fixed on Lex. "The problem with the Justice Cyborg is that, like I said before, it's just an imitation of the real thing. It may have some of Superman's physical capabilities, but it lacks the experience and skill that he has gained throughout the years. And that makes it predictable."
The Justice Cyborg suddenly lunged forward at Alpha-One, its metallic fist clenched tight. Alpha-One nimbly side-stepped the attack, and before anyone could even blink, he retaliated with a powerful punch that sent the Justice Cyborg flying backwards.
The Justice Cyborg used its heat vision on Alpha-One. It caught him, but it didn't harm him. No damage except the clothing. Then he used his Lazer Vision and it was melting the cybernetic hero. Immediately the bot began to rejuvenate and repair itself.
Alpha-One dusted off his shirt as the heat vision attack stopped. He looked slightly annoyed by the fact that his shirt was damaged, but other than that, he was unphased.
"That's it?" he said, looking at the Justice Cyborg with a mixture of boredom and amusement.
"Say goodbye to your creation, Lex. He's about to go away for a permanent vacation." Alpha-One informed him.
Lex let out a scoff. "You think you can destroy the Justice Cyborg? You're delusional, Alpha-One. It was designed to withstand even Superman's heat vision. I doubt you have anything that can permanently damage it."
Alpha-One flew across the landscape and hit the Cyborg and grabbed it. The Justice Cyborg tried to resist Alpha-One's grip, but its attempts were futile against the powerful alien's strength. It was helpless as Alpha-One lifted it off the ground and flew into the depths of space.
As Alpha-One entered the radiation belt, the Justice Cyborg began to malfunction. Its systems started to overload, and it began to emit sparks and smoke. The radiation was destroying the sensitive circuitry and components of the cyborg.
Alpha-One returned without the cybernetic Superman. He had in fact gotten rid of Lex Luthor's masterpiece invention. The Mighty was more Superman than the creation was.
Lex's face twisted with loathing. He hated the fact that Alpha-One had just taken down his most prized project like it was nothing. It was a blow to his ego and his pride as a scientist.
"You may have gotten rid of the Justice Cyborg, but I have more creations." he said, trying to sound confident. "You haven't seen the full extent of my genius."
Alpha-One just rolled his eyes. "Please, Luthor. Your creations are all the same. They're nothing but metal toys that can't stand up to true power."
Lex's face flushed with anger. He didn't like being belittled like this. He stepped forward, his fists clenched at his sides.
"You have a big mouth, alien." he said, his voice tight with anger. "You think you can just come here and act like you're better than everyone else. But let me tell you something - I am the smartest, most powerful being on this planet. And I'm not afraid of you."
Alpha-One just chuckled. "You're wrong on both counts, Luthor. You're not the smartest, and you're definitely not the most powerful."
Lex's expression darkened even further. He couldn't believe the audacity of this alien. No one had ever spoken to him like this before.
"You may have taken down the Justice Cyborg, but I have other ways to take you down." he said, his voice low and threatening. "I have access to weapons and technology that you can't even imagine."
Alpha-One chuckled again. "You think that your fancy toys are enough to stop me? Please. I've taken down tougher opponents than you and your pathetic inventions."
Lex's face flushed with rage. He was starting to lose his composure. He couldn't stand the fact that this alien was acting so superior.
"You have no idea what I'm capable of, alien." he said through gritted teeth. "I have resources and connections that you couldn't even dream of. I have enough power to bring down countries."
Alpha-One seemed undisturbed. "You talk a big game, Luthor. But I've seen power like yours before. It's all empty threats and false promises. You're nothing but a scared little man hiding behind his gadgets."
Lex was real angry and he'd let a few people get away with things that he probably should not have overlooked, but this time he wanted his get back. He felt offended and violated by the alien. He wanted to see this arrogant bastard destroyed. To those looking he seemed to be a beaten man, defeated, and humbled. Nothing like that was traveling in his thoughts. Revenge and redemption. Lex wanted to see Alpha-One punished.
"Well...I'm taking Bane back to the Apple." Murdock said.
"No...hold that thought, my friend." Batman said.
The Mighty Alpha-One turned to catch the first glimpse of the famous Batman. Bane again seemed to get another reprieve. At this point Bane was just curious and interested in where this was going.Jim and Alpha-One were standing together. The Mighty wasn't even in his basic hero suit, and Batman despite the uncertainty of the problem or problems.
"Who has come to Gotham City to see me?" Batman asked.
"Surely you know that's my purpose of this visit. However, you know the business I need to discuss takes a little while. We can put the past behind us Batman. You and I could shut down the criminal activities and restore peace to Gotham City. Look how many of you crime fighters are in the streets here. You're not winning the war against the criminals. We can though." Bane explained.
Batman listened to Bane intently, considering his words carefully. "You're right. Gotham City is in a state of turmoil, and the number of criminals is only growing. But how do you suggest we work together to bring back stability?"
"That's the part that's going to take some time to discuss, and I think Jim and Harvey both should be in on such discussions. We can do it...I know this already, because I did it before I came back. I'm here because I know it works." Bane said confidently.
Harvey, who was listening in on the conversation, couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at Bane's confidence. "You say you've already made this work? In the past?" he asked skeptically.
"I most certainly have, Dent. Due to the landscape and infrastructure...Gotham City will be much easier to get control of." Bane explained further.
"You make it sound so easy," Jim said, still skeptical. "How do you plan to manage the criminals? They're not just going to bow down to you, especially ones like The Joker."
"It's really simple, Jim. How many times has he been sent to prison, he breaks out of the place on Capitol murder charges, and comes back. He is intelligently crazy, and he likes to come after Batman, challenge him, but test himself too. If he didn't get so much enjoyment from seeing damage and inflicting it, you'd really have a problem." Bane explained.
Batman, Jim, and Harvey all nodded at Bane's assessment. They knew the Joker all too well and his destructive tendencies. "So, you're saying you can control the Joker?" Batman asked, still hesitant about Bane's proposal.
"Yes...he's a habitual offender...he gets the death penalty." Bane said with complete seriousness. "You do all know him. He's lucky to be alive now. Batman could have already ended him."
Harvey and Jim were surprised at Bane's suggestion. "The death penalty? You'd really do that to the Joker?" Harvey asked, a hint of disbelief in his voice. Batman remained silent, pondering Bane's words. He didn't like the idea of taking another life, even the Joker, but he couldn't deny that the city would be safer if he was gone.
"That's one of the many things that we'd need to clean up over a long discussion of what we'd do, and how far we would go. Clearly you wouldn't want to go full blown Frank Castle level on them, but some need to be shot on sight...if you really want to preserve and clean this place up." Bane explained how he felt.
Jim and Harvey were shocked by Bane's ruthless approach, but Batman seemed to be considering it. Batman had his own strong personal feelings about killing, but he couldn't deny the logic behind Bane's words.
"You're suggesting a more extreme approach," Batman said, his voice low and serious.
"Restore the fear that they once had for you. When they thought you were crazy as they are. They had no idea. I thrive in that dark, doom, and gloom world, but I know how to get things done, and get the city to a level of tranquility it's never felt or seen before." Bane said firmly.
"The Bat that tortured my thoughts as well as my dreams. You know that I had to fight you. In my mind that had been in captivity and given unwanted experiments. You were that image that terrorized me. I don't have any unresolved issues with you Batman. Our battles have brought about a better understanding of what you stand for and who you are as a man of integrity. You were a tough opponent and you were a formidable opponent as well." Bane explained.
Batman's expression softened a bit at Bane's words. He understood that Bane had been through a lot, and it seemed like he was trying to make amends. "Bane...I don't hold any grudge against you either. I think we both know that our battles weren't personal." Batman said, and he offered a small, yet genuine smile.
"Bane, tell us something about the plan or something on the method of execution of the plans. What would you do first?" Jim Gordon asked.
"Do you really want to know, Jim?" Bane asked.
Jim Gordon absolutely wanted to know, but so did Harvey, Batman, and even Alpha-One.
"You cut off or you reroute the roadways into Metropolis and Capitol City. You're getting far too much traffic and not the good kind. The best citizens they have to offer aren't over here in Gotham City breaking the law." Bane explained the dynamics of the situation.
"You think that would produce immediate results, huh?" Gordon asked.
"You can bet the farm that it would. With the ability to deny them access at the bridge. If it's imperative that you're able to lock the place down."
Jim nodded, understanding the strategic logic behind Bane's suggestion. "That could really cut down on the illegal activity coming in from Metropolis and Capitol City."
Harvey joined in with a smirk on his face. "Sounds good to me. I'm tired of seeing those out of state criminals waltzing into our city and thinking they own the place."
"I know that you are...if it is something that you might want to do here, we can discuss it further with details and availabilities. Such as making me the city leader. That is a must even if I give a little on my salary." Bane made that known up front.
"Making you the city leader?" Jim questioned, raising an eyebrow at Bane's request. "That's a bit ambitious, don't you think?"
"I must have the authority to make moves. You are going to be shocked by the number of your higher ups in on it. Probably been on the take for years. Remember when your evidence was not making it to the courtroom? That's unacceptable and only those hired for the evidence room should be in there." Bane tried to show his reasoning.
They were all just standing silently. "I mean if you wanted me to turn a company around I can't be working in the mail room or valet." Bane pointed out.
Jim and Harvey exchanged a glance, realizing that Bane had a point. "You raise a good point there," Jim admitted, "But Gotham City has its own leaders and a system in place."
"Yes and we started with the effectiveness of what you have in place. It's full of incompetence and men on the take. Those favors owed for elections are all eventually paid back. You see...they're not exactly trying to do the right thing for Gotham City and its residents of the communities across the city. "
Both Jim and Harvey nodded in agreement. They knew that corruption was a big problem in Gotham, but they couldn't deny that Bane was right. They had to do something about the corrupt officials and the people on the take.
Batman, who remained silent, finally spoke up. "Bane has a point. The old way clearly isn't working. We need new, effective leadership."
Jim and Harvey looked at Batman, surprised by his words. They expected him to object to Bane's leadership, but it seemed like he was actually considering it.
"You're agreeing with him?" Harvey asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Are you not?" Bane questioned. "Maybe we should take a look at your paperwork first, if you don't agree with me." Bane said sarcastically, but somewhat suspicious of Dent.
"I'm not agreeing, I'm acknowledging. There is a big difference." Batman said calmly, and there was a hint of respect in his voice when he spoke about Bane.
Jim and Harvey exchanged a look again. They knew that if Batman was considering Bane's proposal, it couldn't be all bad. "Okay, let's say we did give you authority. What would be our next move?" Jim asked, still skeptical but willing to listen.
"We'd put pressure on the pipes and find out who they leaks are. One hand washing the other keeps more employees informed on the movement of funds, weapons, and evidence. It will reduce the overall corruption, and we'll have to weed them out too. Not all leaks or internal problems will be discovered by that one change, but with the other necessary changes. You will turn it around."
Harvey and Jim nodded, understanding the need to root out the corruption and internal problems. "That makes sense." Jim said. "And what about the higher-ups? Do you have any suspicions on who could be involved?"
"Yes...I do, Jim." Bane reloaded, to show them that there was a plan for the expected results. Not just strong arming them.
"I think that Cobblepot is laundering for them. The Falcones are moving money off shore." Bane said. "That's my first guess...of course I don't have any proof or documentation for this claim, but I strongly suspect that casino and Cobblepot."
Jim Gordon knew it, he was nodding in agreement with that suspicious casino ran by the Penguin.
"The Penguin is an intelligent man. He knows how to work with money and he knows how to hide it and avoid taxes on it." Bane explained.
Jim and Harvey were not surprised to hear Bane's suspicions about the Penguin and the Falcones. They knew the crime lords had a way of evading detection, and they had long suspected them of illegal activities.
"Yeah, we've been watching Penguin for a while now." Jim said. "He always seems to stay just far enough on the right side of the law to avoid any real charges. But his casino's a different story."
"He's probably a bigger problem for Gotham City than the Joker. They're both bad guys with no empathy or a conscience to guide them the correct way." Bane said.
Gordon couldn't disagree with Bane there. "You're right. The Penguin and the Joker are both threats to Gotham City in different ways. The Joker with his chaotic and violent nature, and the Penguin with his organized crime operations and political influence."
"You know and would still be shocked at just how connected." Bane confirmed.

Batman had been engaged in the conversation at hand, but he had noticed the stranger with Jim and Harvey. He still wanted to know who he was. "Who is this man?" Batman asked.
Jim and Harvey were a bit taken aback by Batman's sudden question, but they quickly composed themselves. Jim looked to the stranger, then back to Batman. "Oh, this is Alpha-One. He's here to help with the situation."
Batman's eyes narrowed as he studied Alpha-One. There was something about him that felt off. He couldn't quite put his finger on it.
"Help with what exactly?" he asked, his voice sharp.
Jim tried to remain calm under Batman's intense gaze. "Well, he's just another costumed vigilante. He's here to help with..." Jim paused, realizing he wasn't sure how to explain Alpha-One. "...with the current situation." he said finally.
"I had come to meet you, Batman. I'm not trying to overstay my welcome." Alpha-One said.
Batman was surprised by Alpha-One's honesty. He expected him to give some vague answer, but the hero had openly admitted to having made mistakes in the past. "I see," Batman said, his tone softening slightly. "So you're looking for guidance, is that it?"
"Yeah that's pretty much it." Alpha-One answered honestly. They had no idea of just how bad he'd misused his abilities. In many ways he'd never been a real hero. He was more of a villain acting like a hero, and with near perfect deception.
Batman studied Alpha-One for a few moments, weighing his words. "Guiding new heroes isn't something I make a habit of doing." he said, his voice guarded. "Why come to me for guidance?"
"In all honesty I found out how respected that you were when I arrived. Beforehand I was just seeking out others like myself. I thought I was the only one there was." Alpha-One answered honestly.
Batman felt a pang of sympathy for Alpha-One. He knew what it was like to feel alone in a world full of people. He nodded in understanding, even if he didn't show it on his face. "I see. And what have your experiences been so far?"
"I've been a villain posing as a hero. I've used my abilities for personal gain and pleasure." Alpha-One said. "Like Bane here...I'm sure that I want to be on the side of good. To be helping."
Batman was taken aback by Alpha One's admission. He had not expected such a confession. "You were a villain? Pretending to be a hero?" he asked, his voice betraying a hint of surprise.
Alpha-One realized how bad it sounded. Mostly because it was that bad. "Yes...I'm not proud of it. I want to right my wrongs. I wanted to become a better person. I hoped that this trip would be a step in the right direction."
"Yes...I'm going to be here for the rest of time. I might be able to replace the bad I've done with more good things. I arrived here three hundred and fifty years ago. Not a whole lot of honorable things accomplished." Alpha-One said bluntly.
Batman's eyes widened in surprise. "Three hundred and fifty years?" he repeated, incredulously. "You’ve been here for that long, and you're just now trying to redeem yourself?"
"Well keep in mind. I have not been aware of my own powers for that long." Alpha-One explained it better, or he hoped he did.
"You weren't aware of your own powers for that long?" Batman asked, raising an eyebrow. He found it difficult to believe that someone with such powerful abilities would remain unaware of them for that long.
"No sir...I discovered the abilities in the 1930s." Alpha-One answered.
"The 1930s?" Batman repeated incredulously. "You didn't know about your powers for all that time?"
"No...ask your Superman. He'll tell you how you don't know. How would we know surrounded by mortals?" Alpha-One explained further.
Matt Murdock walked up to Batman..."Are we taking Bane, or should we leave him with you?"
Batman turned to Matt. "I'll take care of him." Batman said firmly. "He needs to be held accountable."
"You've got it, Batman." Jim said. "We'll be out on the streets. I'm going to set up a task force to start cleaning up the roads. I've got about fifty guys coming in a few minutes."
Batman turned around to say something to Alpha-One, but he was gone. When he saw Batgirl walk by he took off, but Batman had no idea where he had gone.
"Where did that guy go?" Batman shook his head.
Jim nodded, his mind still preoccupied with all the information and events that had just unfolded. "Yeah, I was. Just got a little sidetracked."
"So...Batman, what did you think about what I proposed about getting Gotham City cleaned up. We can do it...you and me could get the job completed."
"Before returning I was eliminating gangs, rebuilding infrastructure, and helping my friend and Prime Minister of Cuba, Juan Pablo Luis." Bane shows his work.
Jim and Batman exchanged a skeptical look, sizing up Bane with a wary eye. "You were doing all that...in Cuba?" Jim asked, trying to wrap his head around the idea.
"That's where I was born again, and I was given an opportunity, but I had to do whatever I assured them that I could do. There I created Ideas for safety in the villages. I was going between the gangsters as a mediator for peace."
"You were mediating peace between gangs?" Jim asked, impressed by Bane's accomplishments in Cuba.
"After I accepted my savior I felt compelled to do what I could, but they couldn't." Bane explained.
Jim and Batman listened intently, their skepticism slowly being replaced by curiosity. Bane clearly had a sense of purpose and a desire to help, but they couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to his story.
"Upon acceptance of the heavenly father I realized how twisted my ideas, thoughts, and plans, really were. I put value on the wrong things, and I didn't pay attention to the things that matter." Bane explained.
Both Jim and Batman listened to Bane intently, trying to understand the profound transformation he seemed to have undergone. It was hard to believe that someone as ruthless as Bane could be driven by a sense of spirituality.
"Finding my way and seeing the error of my way, those are seperate things. Think about that and let it sink in." Bane said.
Jim and Batman took a moment to process Bane's words. The realization that the man before them, who was once known for his brutal strength and ruthlessness, had undergone a profound spiritual awakening, was a lot to take in. They could see the sincerity in his words, but it was difficult to reconcile this newfound belief with the crimes he had committed.
"You're afraid to make me leader of the city, huh? Based on my past. Listen understand, I'm not sure if I wouldn't feel the same. I figured if nothing else it'd give me the opportunity to apologize to Bruce, and seek forgiveness for my ignorance as a mortal man. Senseless attacks." Bane expressed his thoughts.
Jim and Batman were taken aback by Bane's words. He was genuinely seeking forgiveness and asking for a chance to make amends. It was hard to dismiss his sincerity, but they had to weigh the risk against the potential for change.
"Are you asking us to believe that you have truly changed?" Batman asked with a mix of skepticism and curiosity.
"No...I don't expect you to accept that. I'm just asking you to give me the opportunity to show you." Bane replied.
Jim and Batman exchanged a silent glance, silently debating whether to give Bane a chance. The idea of a reformed villain taking the lead in rebuilding Gotham City was a risky proposition, but they couldn't deny the hint of hope it sparked.
"If I am to lead, then I understand that I will be under close supervision. It makes sense, considering the trust issues I've earned." Bane replied, his voice calm and measured.
Batman spoke up, "You understand that any misstep, any hint of returning to old ways, and this chance ends immediately."
"Understood. I have no intention of returning to my old ways. My goal is to set things right and help rebuild Gotham City, not to revert to the same destructive cycle that defined my past." Bane responded with determination.
Jim and Batman nodded, accepting Bane's words for now. "Alright then. We'll give you a chance. But the moment you slip up, we'll be there to stop you."
"We can fix a damaged and flawed concept that has cost the city daily for years. If I'm not seeing something or we cannot turn it around, well I will have a better understanding of what and why not." Bane explained how he was looking at the challenges ahead.
Jim and Batman exchanged a look, considering Bane's words. They knew that Gotham City had a long history of corruption and crime, and they hadn't been able to completely eradicate it so far. Maybe having someone who had seen things from both sides could offer a unique perspective.
"You have a point," Jim said, his voice more open than before. "We haven't been able to fix Gotham's problems entirely. Perhaps you can bring a different approach we haven't thought of yet."
They moved across the city streets for three blocks to the City Council office. They moved quickly and swiftly getting Bane into office. Giving him a makeshift office to get started.
"Aye...men, we could see protests, riots, division among residents, attempted hits on Bane, ect." Batman though of the various outcomes that could happen.
The three men were discussing some of those type of potential problems. Issues that could potentially affect their plan at the foundation of the idea.
Suddenly the door opened forcefully as Red Hood entered. He was angry. His eyes betrayed his alternate options, and he was unaware of several things that would've created a different approach.
"What in the fucking hell is this? Why is this mother fucker still walking free, let alone being placed upon a respected position of power and control?"
They could see that he was not happy.
"It's this drastically different approach, but one nobody has any knowledge of except Bane." Red Hood argues his point. "Is this an attempt to watch Gotham City fall as a valuable American city?"
He continued to pace the floor. Bane had sat there quietly as Jason said his piece. Batman knew that the old Bane would probably have already shown anger, if not retaliated by that point.
Jim and Batman could see the genuine anger and concern in Red Hood's voice. They knew that his reaction was justified given Bane's past actions and reputation. The room filled with tension, as the two parties waited for Bane to respond.
Bane stood up and turned around to face Red Hood. He was a menacing looking beast of a man. He grinned at Jason.
"Red Hood...I completely understand how you feel. With these suspicions about me, and the new methods of doing things things, these things you've been used to. However, you know that those methods of combating the criminals was ineffective to say the least."
Bane stood there calmly addressing his concerns.
"Please join us in this meeting, and perhaps we can find our best options currently available. I'll layout the format for the approach I have designed." Bane said.
Red Hood was shocked at how calmly Bane responded. He was used to the old Bane's aggressive demeanor, but this Bane was different. He was more composed and collected. Red Hood couldn't help but feel slightly taken aback by the change in demeanor.
He let out a deep sigh, acknowledging the truth in Bane's words. The old methods of battling crime in Gotham City hadn't been effective. The city still suffered from crime and corruption, despite the years of fighting.
Batman and Jim watched the exchange with interest. They knew that Red Hood had a valid point, but they were also intrigued by Bane's calm demeanor and willingness to try something different.
Red Hood weighed his options, considering the possible outcomes if he stayed and listened to Bane's proposal.
The room fell silent as everyone waited for him to make his decision.
Red Hood weighed his options, considering the possible outcomes if he stayed and listened to Bane's proposal. The room fell silent as everyone waited for him to make his decision.
Jim and Batman breathed a sigh of relief, grateful that Red Hood was willing to hear Bane out. They knew that his input would be valuable, and they hoped that he would keep an open mind to the new approach that Bane was proposing.
"Now there's a list of things that we need to find solutions for, even if the fixes are temporary. We need to restrict our neighborly visitors. Like we discussed earlier, Metropolis is causing more issues and problems. Capitol City the same deal. We must restrict the flow of traffic to possibly detour their trying their luck as we burn up their time in standstill traffic." Bane hung up some charts.
Jim and Batman nodded, understanding the importance of regulating traffic flow and limiting outside interference.
Red Hood looked up from his seat, his expression still skeptical. "You think restricting traffic will really make a difference?"
"Yes...it'll make a difference in the amount of criminals that are entering. It's in no way a permanent fix, and we will find other ways to stop them coming in. The problem we face is that both cities feed in on one interstate. There not using the alternate route highway." Bane addressed Red Hood's concern.
"That's a fair point," Red Hood admitted, nodding slowly. "Traffic restriction might not be the ultimate solution, but it could help slow down the flow of criminals into the city."
Batman and Jim agreed, understanding the importance of controlling outside influences on the city's crime rate.

The Mighty Alpha-One took off with Batgirl walking.
Jim Gordon and Batman had gotten less than entertaining. Alpha-One immediately found himself intrigued by Batgirl. Alpha-One thought her purple outfit was super sexy.
Batgirl noticed Alpha-One's presence and his wandering gaze. She had a feeling that he was checking her out, but she was not bothered by it. In fact, she found herself intrigued by the mysterious stranger.
There was something about Alpha-One that piqued her curiosity. His towering height and imposing presence were striking, and Batgirl found herself wanting to know more about him.
"You must be the new recruit." she said, her voice cool and confident.
Batgirl noticed his lingering gaze and raised an eyebrow. Alpha-One continued staring at her.
"You seem to be enjoying the view." she said, a hint of humor in her voice.
"Yes...you're nothing short of incredible." Alpha-One answered honestly.
Batgirl chuckled, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips. "Thanks, but I'm not just a pretty face, you know."
"Yes. This fact is also obvious."
"And what makes you so sure of that?" Batgirl asked, her tone playful but with a hint of challenge.
"That's in the way that you carry yourself." Alpha-One admired her sexiness.
Batgirl smirked, impressed by Alpha-One's observation skills. "You're observant," she said, her voice a touch of tease. "What else can you deduce about me?"
"That I want to make you an honest woman." Alpha-One said bluntly.
Batgirl's eyes widened at his response, taken aback by his boldness. She had expected some flirtation, but he definitely seemed set on his goal. "Is that so?" She managed to say, her voice betraying a hint of surprise.
Alpha-One pulled her into the alleyway and passionately kissed her. "Do you know how bad I want to fuck you?"
Batgirl found herself momentarily stunned by the sudden intensity of his advance, but a moment later, a smirk played on her lips. "You're certainly direct," she said, her voice lowering to a huskier tone. "But I can't say I don't like it."
"Because I know you want me just as badly as I want you." Alpha-One said, his hand sliding down her body, his touch leaving a trail of heat in its wake."Don't make me stop.. mmm. I want all of your offerings."
Batgirl's breath hitched as his hand continued its journey down her body, his touch sending shivers through her. She tried to respond, but his words had left her speechless.
"Mmm... Alpha-One..." she managed to whisper, her voice betraying the desire building within her.
Batgirl's heart raced at the nickname, her resistance crumbling under his touch. "You're impossible to say no to," she murmured, her body yielding to his touch.
"You want to say no...Batgirl." Alpha-One didn't want her too, but he wouldn't do to her, like those two school girls, or the Hooter girl. Alpha-One had pressured and raped them.
Batgirl noted his words and their double meaning, she couldn't help but see the sincerity in his words. "I'm not saying no, Alpha-One. In fact, I'm far from wanting to stop."
Alpha-One's heart fluttered to her agreement and her understanding. Alpha-One pulled her even closer. "You have no idea how badly I want you." He whispered, his voice rough with desire.
Alpha-One pulled out his monstrous cock. The te inch cock wasn't even completely hard. "Can I fuck you?" Alpha-One asked, and he shook it at her, or in the direction. She'd never seen one so big.
"There's a zipper in the back." Batgirl said huskily, pointing to the hidden the zipper in the back of the suit just below her neck.
"Are we hidden enough for you?" Alpha-One asked.
Batgirl's mind was clouded with desire, her body trembling with anticipation at the thought. "Yes," she whispered, her voice low and heated. "I want to taste you.
Batgirl couldn't help but feel a thrill at his words, the heat and desire in his voice making her shiver with anticipation. She moved closer to him, her body pressing against him as she looked up at him through hooded eyes. "Say it again," she whispered, her voice low and teasing.
'Say what, baby?" Alpha-One continued to make love to her."
Alpha-One's grip on her tightened, his eyes darkening as his need for her grew. "I want you, Batgirl." He purred, his voice low and hoarse. "I want every inch of you."
Batgirl's body responded to his words, her breath coming in ragged gasps. "Then take me," she whispered, her voice filled with need. "Take me, right here and now."
Alpha-One's grip on her hips tightened, his body pressing against hers. "Are you sure you want that, love?" He whispered, his voice rough with desire.
Batgirl's eyes locked with his, her desire clear in her gaze. "Yes," she whispered, her voice sure and steady. "I want you, Alpha-One. Here and now."
His mouth found hers, his kiss rough and hungry. Batgirl moaned against him, her body arched into his as their bodies moved in a perfect rhythm.
Alpha-One's hands roamed over her body, his touch leaving her skin burning in its wake. She clutched at him, her fingers digging into his shoulders as their passion drove them higher and higher.
Their clothes were suddenly in the way, the barrier between them infuriating. Batgirl tore at his shirt, desperate to feel his skin against hers.
Alpha-One grunted, his own desire for her intense. He moved to help her, pulling off his shirt and baring his muscled chest to her. His hands were immediately on her, his touch rough and possessive. "How does it feel to be with a Superman?"
Batgirl gasped as his touch ignited a fire within her. "Incredible," she whispered, her voice a breathless gasp. "It feels...amazing."
His fingers found the zipper and pulled, the suit opening to reveal her soft, smooth skin. Alpha-One growled in satisfaction, his hands moving over her body, exploring her with a touch that was both reverent and possessive.
Batgirl couldn't help but arch against him, her body responding to his touch. "Please..." she whispered, her voice ragged and needy. "I want more."
Alpha-One couldn't resist her plea, his own need for her growing ever more urgent. He lifted her against the wall, his body pressing against her as he claimed her mouth in a fierce, hungry kiss.
Batgirl melted against him, her body yielding to his as their kiss deepened. She pulled him closer, her fingers tangling in his hair as she surrendered to the overwhelming sensations coursing through her.
Alpha-One's hands traced a path over her body, moving lower until they found her hips. He lifted her up, pressing her against the wall as she wrapped her legs around him, their bodies perfectly aligned.
His mouth moved down her neck, his lips hot and demanding, leaving a trail of fire in their wake. Batgirl moaned softly, her head falling back as she surrendered to the pleasure building within her.
Alpha-One's mouth moved lower, teasing and nipping at her skin. He wanted all of her, in every way possible. He wanted to taste her, mark her, claim her completely.
Batgirl arched against him, her body trembling with need. "Please," she whispered, her voice ragged and desperate. "I need... more."
Alpha-One's grip on her tightened, his body surging against her with a primal need. "And you shall have it, love." He growled, his voice rough and thick with desire.
His mouth returned to hers, his kiss deep and demanding. His hands moved lower, finding the edge of her suit and pulling it lower. He was desperate to reveal all of her, to have her completely bare and exposed to him.
A couple walked past the alley, but never looked down their way, and perhaps they weren't visible in the shadows and darkness of the alleyway.
Batgirl thought about being on her shift. The only action was coming from the alleyway and she was happily involved. She couldn't believe that she walked into such a incredible situation, a tall, muscular, and strapping man. She hoped she wasn't dreaming.
Alpha-One's hands were everywhere, his touch leaving Batgirl trembling with desire as he slowly undressed her, piece by piece. His mouth moved over her skin, worshiping her as he moved, and claiming her with his lips.
Batgirl was lost in the sensations Alpha-One was inciting within her, her body arching and writhing against him as he slowly, slowly undressed her. She couldn't believe how responsive her body was to him, how her need for him overpowered any sense of embarrassment or hesitation.
The cool night breeze was an erotic touch against her skin, adding to the sensations building within her. Alpha-One's hands traced a path over her body, exploring every inch of her with a possessive touch.
Batgirl gasped, her body arching against him. "Alpha-One.. please.." she whimpered, her voice ragged with need.
"Say you want me," Alpha-One whispered, his voice rough with need. "Say you want me, and I'll give you everything."
Batgirl looked up at him, her voice a breathless gasp. "I want you," she whispered, her body shuddering with need. "I want everything, Alpha-One. Give me everything."
"You have no idea what you're asking for, love." He murmured, his voice thick and rough.
Batgirl heard the warning in his voice, a hint of danger in his words, and it only ignited her desire even more. "I don't care," she whispered. "I want it all, Alpha-One. Everything."
Alpha-One's control shattered, his need for her a driving force he could not deny. He claimed her mouth in a brutal, possessive kiss, his body pressing her back against the wall as he took what he wanted, what he needed.
Batgirl responded, her body arching into his as she surrendered to his need. She was lost in the sensations coursing through her, each touch igniting a flame that only burned brighter.
Breaks the passionate kiss, panting heavily as he gazes down at Batgirl with lust-clouded eyes.
"Damn, girl... you've got quite the effect on me. I can barely hold myself back."
His large hands roam her curves possessively, squeezing and caressing through the tight fabric of her Batsuit.
Planting kisses along her exposed neck "I'm gonna mark you as mine, show everyone that you belong to me now..."
Alpha-One roughly grabs handful of her ass. She was thick, but well toned. Absolutely and deliciously perfect.
His cock spreads her pussy like it had never been before. She screamed out in pleasure before she could stop herself. "Oh my god that thing is ripping me in half."
Alpha-One groans deeply as he hilts himself inside her tight heat, stretching her walls deliciously. "Fuck, baby... you're so goddamn tight. Like you were made just for me."
He starts to move, pulling out slowly before thrusting back in, setting a deep, claiming rhythm. He questioned his staying ability with her. It was truly amazing and he knew that it'd get him.
Alpha-One harshly, sweat beginning to bead on his forehead from exertion as he continues pumping into Batgirl's incredibly tight channel. "Yeahhh... this sweet little pussy is gonna ruin me..."
Leaning down, he captures Batgirl's lips in a filthy, open-mouthed kiss, tongue plundering and dominating hers.
"Gonna fill this prime pussy. Getting split open on my fat cock." Alpha-One said seductively.
With a guttural roar, hilts himself deep inside Batgirl one final time, thick ropes of hot seed erupting from his throbbing cock and flooding her spasming pussy.
"FUCK YES!! Take my load, you dirty girl! Milk my dick dry!!"
6
They landed in Gotham City, observing the surroundings intently, as they descended to the Earth below. They were in Gotham City looking for the alleged Superman who wasn't from Krypton. General Zod had to see what Lex had described as a Superman. He doubted that he would find a man with those powers, but he intended on seeing firsthand what lex encountered.
"Do you think it's still here?" Ursa asked.
"Yes...I do. In fact I'm just about sure it's here." Zod quickly replied.
The disturbance caught the attention of Nightwing. He approached Zod, Ursa, and Non. "What are you three doing in Gotham City?"
Zod sensed the trepidation in Nightwing's voice. He scanned over the masked vigilante and determined that he was a mortal man. Obviously he was not the intended target.
The central figure, the tallest one, took a step forward. His deep voice boomed with authority as he responded, "We are the Kryptonian Trinity, and we come with a purpose."
Nightwing bristled at the arrogance in the Kryptonian's voice. "A purpose? What sort of purpose could you have that involves Gotham City?" he asked, his hand gripping his escrima stick tightly.
The tallest Kryptonian chuckled darkly, his gaze locking with Nightwing's. "We're here to observe the non-Kryptonian Superman. Where is he?"
Nightwing shook his head, "What is that? There's not a Superman other than Kal-el."
The Kryptonian Trinity looked at each other for a moment, as if assessing Nightwing's sincerity. Then the tallest one spoke again, "We have information that there is another Kryptonian-powered man here. Where is he?"
The tallest Kryptonian nodded. "Take us to Batman."
Nightwing knew better than to try to fight them, but he was reluctant to lead them straight to Batman. "What if I don't?"
The tallest Kryptonian smirked, his gaze hardening. "Then we'll find him ourselves, and it won't be pleasant. We have a mission to complete, and we won't hesitate to use force if necessary."
"Well in that case...follow me this way." Nightwing said.
He took them into the Mayor's office that had been cleaned out except the desk.
"Hey...anyone in here?" Nightwing shouts.
Red Hood replied as he approached his teammate. "What's up...Nightwing?"
Then he saw the Kryptonian Trinity standing there. "General Zod?" Red Hood said.
General Zod stepped forward, his expression stoic. "You know who I am?" he asked, his voice commanding and powerful.
"Yes...I do know who you are. I'm just not sure what we can do for you." Red Hood admitted.
General Zod's expression hardened, his gaze flickering between Nightwing and Red Hood. "We're looking for the non-Kryptonian Superman. Our sensors picked up an energy signature similar to Kal-El's." Zod lied, but wasn't going to give up Lex Luthor.
Red Hood raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical of Zod's claims. "Superman? I think we'd know if there was another one flying around."
General Zod grunted in annoyance. "Our sensors are rarely wrong. We've tracked the energy signature to this city, which means he's here somewhere."
Nightwing remained silent, observing the exchange with interest.
"Get Batman...or someone else with knowledge." Zod demanded.
Nightwing nodded, feeling a sense of unease at the Kryptonians' presence. "I'll go get Batman. Just wait here."
Nightwing quickly made his way to the Batcave, his mind racing. He knew that this situation called for Batman's expertise, but he also worried about how Batman would react to the Kryptonians' presence.
Nightwing turned to Alfred, his eyes filled with urgency. "Alfred, we have a problem."
Alfred, concerned, looked at Nightwing, "What is it, Master Nightwing?"
Nightwing shook his head. "No, they're relying on their sensors. But they say their sensors are rarely wrong."
Alfred nodded thoughtfully. "Well then, we need to find a way to convince them that they're mistaken."
Nightwing sighed, "Yeah, but how? We don't have any evidence to prove that Superman isn't here."
"I'll call Kal-El to come assist Batman with the Kryptonians." Alfred answered.
Nightwing nodded, relieved that there was a plan in motion. "Good idea. We need Kal-El's help."
Alfred nodded and reached for the secure Bat-phone. He dialed a number and after a few seconds, a familiar voice answered.
"Alfred, is everything alright?"
Alfred, "No, Kal-El, we have a situation here at Gotham City Hall. We have unwelcome visitors from Krypton."
Kal-El, hearing the seriousness in Alfred's voice, quickly responded, "Who are they? What do they want?"
Alfred sighed, "It's General Zod and his two companions. They say they're looking for Superman, believing he's here in Gotham."
Kal-El grunted, clearly not pleased to hear about Zod's presence. "I'll be there as soon as possible. Keep them there until I arrive."
Kal-El reassured Alfred, "Anything for the city of Gotham. I'll be there shortly."
With that, the line disconnected, and Nightwing and Alfred prepared to wait for Superman's arrival. Nightwing drove back down to the City Council Offices.
Batman had arrived on the scene finding Zod and the Kryptonian Trinity. He had no idea that Superman was on his way to assist them with the issue at hand, but he remembered Bane saying that the access from Metropolis needed to be filtered.
"There is nobody else in Gotham City from Krypton except for you three." Batman said firmly.
General Zod, still certain of his sensors' accuracy, sneered at Batman's words. "And how would you know that, Batman? Are you intimately familiar with every individual in this city?"
"You'd be surprised." Batman said calmly but definitively.
General Zod's expression hardened, and he took a step forward, towering over the Dark Knight. "And what exactly do you mean by that, Batman? Are you suggesting that you possess some kind of intimate knowledge of the inhabitants of Gotham City?"
"I have my methods of doing what needs to be done." Batman replied.
"You bring me this alleged Superman, or I'm going to start killing these mortals that you protect. One every ten minutes, until you produce the imposter." Zod explained his cold plan for getting what he wanted.
Batman knew that he would do what he said that he'd do. He'd used it to bring out Superman in the past.
"Give me time to locate the individual you're in search of." Batman said.
Zod nodded. "Very well...go get him and bring him here. I'll wait for thirty minutes, but then it's one per hour until he's handed over." Zod said.
Batman grunted, nodding in understanding. "I'll do what I can, but if you hurt anyone while I'm looking, our deal is off."
As Batman exited the scene he encountered Nightwing and Alfred. "Batman, I've placed a call to the real Superman. We're clearly going to need his assistance on this situation."
Nightwing nodded, his expression grim. "Good. We need all the help we can get."
Alfred added, "While you were inside with the Kryptonians, I took the liberty of running a few scans throughout the city."
Bane arrived back to find the events unfolding at City Hall. He didn't have a clue as to what the problem was, but he intended on finding out.
"Oh shit...it's Bane." Nightwing said, and instinctively went for his weapon.
Batman raised a hand, stopping him. "Wait."
Bane, seeing the tension, raised an eyebrow. "What's happening here?" he asked, his voice carrying a hint of curiosity.
Nightwing relaxed but kept a wary eye on the criminal.
"We've got a situation with some Kryptonians. They're looking for Superman." Batman said.
Bane chuckled, "And they think he's here in Gotham?"
"They're looking for Alpha-One, Bane." Batman explained.
Bane's amusement faded, replaced by a mix of surprise and intrigue. "Alpha-One? They're searching for that Superman Wannabe?"
Batman nodding. "They certainly do."
"Ah...Batman, I think I know who brought this on. Remember Alpha-One embarrassing Luthor and his generic Superman robot?" Bane recalled. "This is probably his revenge."
"Oh, his pride was hurt. I'll bet he sent them. Went for the big guns, huh?" Bane shakes his head. "Well where is he? I mean we're going to have to hand him over. We don't comply and they'll destroy the place. I'm not sure what we could do to stop them." Bane's mind was racing through possibilities.
Batman's expression remained stoic. "We can't risk handing over innocent citizens just to satiate Luthor's vendetta. We need to find another way to deal with this situation."
Bane grunted, "You know it's not all Luthor's fault. If that Wannabe hadn't humiliated him in front of his peers, then we'd not be in this spot. Alpha-One is just as guilty as Luthor. There's a way of doing things, and he chose this path."
"Are these Kryptonians affected by Kryptonite?" Bane inquired.
Batman nodded, "Yes, Kryptonite weakens them, but it doesn't incapacitate them. Not to the extent it does with Superman."
"Maybe we can negotiate a better deal with them, want to try that?" Bane asked.
Batman considered the proposal, "We could try. It might buy us some time to come up with a better plan."
Nightwing chimed in, "It could work, but we can't show we're too desperate or they'll exploit it."
"I agree." Batman added. "We need to tread carefully. Showing any signs of concession could give them the upper hand."
Bane walked toward the Trinity. "While we are locating the man who you're here for, perhaps we can find some way of going about it in a civilized way."General Zod's eyes narrowed as Bane, and the rest of the Trinity approached him. "What sort of civilized way are you referring to?" he asked, his tone cold and commanding.
Batman's expression remained stoic as he assessed the offer. "And what kind of punishment do you have in mind?"
Zod answered coldly, "Death...for his dangerous deception of the public and falsification of being Superman."
Batman's eyes narrowed. "That's a severe punishment, especially considering the individual in question isn't exactly a true Kryptonian."
"Doesn't the hero community have enough problems without the deception of guys like the imposter making it more difficult?" Zod questions.
"Punishment should fit the crime." Batman said.
"He's been fooling others into believing he has the powers of a Kryptonian. That in itself is a crime. If we don't act soon, more and more of these so-called Supes may be born. He's a ticking time bomb." Zod retorted, clearly not considering this a trivial matter.
Just then Superman flew down from the sky to try helping at Alfred's request.
"Look it's Superman." Ursa said.
Batman's gaze shifted to the sky, a faint tension in his body language. "That's the real deal."
Ursa smiled, a hint of anticipation in her gaze. "This should be good."
Superman landed gracefully, his eyes scanning the scene before him.
"Batman, what's going on here?" The Man of Steel asked.
Batman nodded to Superman, his voice low enough that only he could hear. "We have a situation. The Kryptonians are here, searching for Alpha-One."
"Hmm...and who is Alpha-One?" Superman inquired.
Nightwing interjected, "He's a person who has powers similar to you. He's been acting like he's the real deal."
Superman grunted, his expression hardening. "And let me guess, they're not too pleased by his findings."
"Zod...you don't have a reason for being here. You should go. They don't need any help with their guy. He's not Kryptonian. He's not bound to our Kryptonian laws." Superman said.
"You're too weak, Kal-El. That's been your problem. You have no backbone." Zod angrily shouts.
Superman's expression hardened, his eyes narrowing. "My backbone is just fine. I don't resort to threats and violence. That's never been my way."
"Yes...I'm aware of your ways." Zod said sharply.
"Zod...you are going to have to leave here." Superman told him.
"I'm not going anywhere until I have the man who claims to be like me. Once he's handed over, then we'll part ways." Zod stubbornly demanded.
"I won't let you hurt anyone." Superman firmly told him."You may try." Zod's gaze was cold. "You won't stop me."
"I'll do whatever it takes to stop you." Superman responded, his voice tinged with determination.
"You're brave, but not smarter. We're talking about Kryptonian against Kryptonian. Your heart is too soft and has always been your greatest weakness." Zod retorted.
"It appears that we're going to find out." Superman said. His eyes locked with Zod.
"Bring it on." Zod said, his expression hardening as he took a defensive stance, ready for battle.
Bane looked over at Batman and noticed that he was confused as to what he was going to do. Bane wasn't sure himself, but he knew that something had to happen and quick.
"The disputes between the Kryptonians will not be taking place here. You men are not going to fight here in Gotham City." Bane told them.
Zod's gaze snapped toward Bane, his expression hardening. "Who exactly are you to tell us where we can and can't fight?"
Bane stepped forward, his eyes locking with Zod's. "I'm someone who isn't going to let you destroy this city. Gotham City isn't your personal battlefield, and the people here aren't your pawns. You have your dispute with Superman, take it somewhere else."
Batman knew he had to somehow get Bane away from Zod or he'd kill him. He stepped forward with a swift move. "Hold on...we were going to discuss things, right?"
The tension increased. Zod's gaze flicked towards Batman for a moment, then returned to Bane, his expression still stern. "What are you suggesting, Bat-freak?"
"I'm suggesting we handle this situation without any more bloodshed or collateral damage." Batman replied firmly. "Let's find a solution that doesn't involve fighting."
"I have displayed patience and I have struggled to keep my cool, but I am about to find him myself." Zod said sharply.
"Patience? You haven't known patience for the entire conversation." Batman retorted. "And you're not laying a hand on anyone without repercussions."
Zod grinned "you don't think that I have shown great restraint?" In the heat of the moment Zod shoved Batman, and sent him flying backwards. He hit the ground and continued tumbling. He was no longer consciously aware of the conflict at hand.
Bane grabbed Zod with an extremely powerful grip, but he was also quickly overwhelmed by Zod, and thrown into the side of a building across the street.
"No!" Superman shouts.
He punched Zod in his jaw. The hit sent him down to one knee. He stood back up to his feet, and Non grabbed Superman as Zod easily recovered. "You're not so strong for a Kryptonian."
Non held Superman in place as Zod punched him with incredible force. The two continued to trade blows on Superman. "You shouldn't have put your nose in our business, you fool." Zod said.
The Kryptonian Trinity beat Superman in front of the others. He was struggling with the three of them. They were his equal, and they seemed a little bit stronger. He thought to himself that if Alpha-One was really anything like Kryptonians, he was badly needed to help. They were controlling the situation and Superman.
Red Hood and Nightwing watched in horror. "Bane and Batman both were out, and Superman wasn't holding up to the intense blows he was taking.
The Knight Fall - The night had turned into a complete nightmare.
8
The Mighty Alpha-One had heard about the situation taking place, and he knew why it was taking place. His first thought was to take off and let them figure out how they'd deal with the Kryptonian Trinity. However, that's not how the other people like him responded to these situations. They would fight to the death on principle alone.
He had feelings for Batgirl, and her reaction was moving. With no real powers she was ready to fight and defend. Even though he was complete with the power to fight, he was going to run away. That thought ate at him, and he felt like a coward, and that thought made him angry. This ignited the fire that he needed to have all along.
Alpha-One didn't know if his powers were equal to the Kryptonian powers, but he wasn't really worried about it. Not when mortal humans were willing to try with non whatsoever. He'd kissed Batgirl goodbye and then went through the city toward the downtown area. His thoughts were racing, and then all at once he took off into the air.
"Maybe I wasn't clear enough for you to understand what I want." Zod shouts at the fallen bunch of heroes. "Bring the fake Superman to me. Now, do any of you have a question about what I'm asking for?"
"Yes...I do, Zod...or whatever your name is. I've got a question." Alpha-One walked into view.
"Are you the fakeman?" Zod asked. "Who are you? What's your question, huh?" Zod antagonizing as he was figuring out how the newest victim fits into the picture.
"What are you going to do with The Mighty Alpha-One, Zod?"
"I'm going to kill him on the ground below our feet. He will die right here in front of them all."Zod shouts violently.
"Well...then come on and kill me. I am Alpha-One, the man you're looking for, and a man who cannot be killed. So come on and get what you want."
Zod smiles. "You think that you can't be killed?"
"Well, let's find out. Shall we now." Ursa chimed in.
Zod snatched a car off the street, and threw it at Alpha-One. He caught the car in the air and tossed it aside. "Zod...stop breaking other people's things."
Zod knew that he did in fact have strength of Superman. He had shown them that. However, they didn't know about the other abilities. Did he also possess those? Maybe he could do even more.
"What are we doing here, three against one?" Alpha-One asked.
"You're not going to defeat us. We know that for sure." Zod replied.
"Well it's not a surprise. I figured that you would probably be cowardly beforehand, so like I said, I'm not surprised by your cowardice approach." Alpha-One insulted them as he sized up their advantages.
"Hey Alpha-One...I'm Superman." Kal-El rejoined the showdown.
"So you are the Superman, huh?" Alpha-One smiles. "I guess this is the best way to meet you. Fight with you against these troublemakers."
"Together or individually, you're both going to be defeated." Zod retorted.
A slight smirk curled on Superman's lips as he landed beside Alpha-One. "Seems like we're outnumbered." he commented dryly.
"That seems to be the case." Alpha-One replied, his gaze sharpening on the Kryptonians. "But they seem pretty formidable."
"Then you both should give up right now." Zod snapped.
"Not a chance of that, Zod. I'm playing with house money." Alpha-One said.
Ursa stepped forward, her gaze fixed on Alpha-One. "You're clearly outmatched. You have no hope of defeating us."
Alpha-One smirked. "I like my odds."
"The odds are heavily against you. You're just too dumb to know that. Ignorance is bliss. I just thought you were smarter than you have proven yourself to be." Zod said.
"It's not worth it, Zod." Superman spoke up. "If you are fighting for Lex Luthor's honor, you should know that he has none. He's not concerned with whatever happens to you. I can assure you that he only cares about himself. His advancement and progress.
"I'm perfectly aware of that." Zod replied. "This isn't about Lex Luthor. It's about the truth."
"What truth?" Superman questioned, his voice filled with a hint of challenge.
"The truth that you're fraudulent, and teamed with an imposter." Zod snapped angrily. "You're no true Kryptonian."
"Then who's the true Kryptonian, huh?" Alpha-One interrupted, his voice tinged with mockery.
"It's not you...so don't worry about it. Go back home or wherever you came from." Zod said.
"I don't take advice from criminals, and you are exactly that." Alpha-One laughed.
Zod snapped forward and flew into Alpha-One, but was met with a heat vision attack. Stopping him in his tracks.
Ursa and Non grabbed Kal-El, and the two of them were getting the best of him. The two of them were toying with the Man of Steel. He knew he would need to catch a break.
They did not realize that Bane had gotten back to his feet. He zeroed in on Zod. He was the closest of the three evil Kryptonians. The Alpha-One had did well. Zod was just better if their powers were even. The General was one of the best, if not the best, strategist and commanders ever discovered.
However, the powerful mighty Alpha-One had turned Zod away from Bane. That was the very opening that he was looking for.
He roared with all his mite and the landed a shot of extreme power. When he landed it on the back of Zod's head it dropped him to the ground. He stayed down, but not hurt or in bad shape.
Superman took a moment to catch his breath as Ursa and Non looked upon the fallen Zod with concern. Their leader was on the ground in defeat. Non tried to help him to his feet, but the General waved his hand to indicate that he needed a moment to recover.
"What happened?" whispered Ursa, her eyes wide.
Superman grabbed Ursa and he slung her into a skyscraper across the street. She hit with incredible force. Like Zod, Ursa wasn't hurt, but she was reluctant to try anything too quickly.
Alpha-One wasn't ready when Zod crashed into him, and flew through the concrete wall behind him. The shot had been incredibly hard, but there was no damage to Alpha-One.
Zod was disappointed when he saw Alpha-One bounce back, but he indeed had all the Kryptonian powers, but the strength of each power was not quite on the same level. The Kryptonians were stronger with every ability they possessed.
As Zod and Alpha-One fought their battle through the streets, it was more intense than either of them had thought it'd be. The two were both powerful individuals, but it seemed that the experience and precision of the General gave him an edge with Zod.
It was also the fact that Zod was fighting for a cause. Alpha-One was not used to the idea to fight on another world. He wasn't sure about the people, their history, and why they were the way they were. He'd learned over the years that there were cultural differences everywhere.
Non and Superman were locked up in battle, and Ursa was flying back into the street where she'd been thrown from. She fully intended on seeing Superman beg for his life.
Ursa crashed into the street, her gaze flickering across the battle scene. She focused her vision on Superman, who was clearly struggling against Non.
"Pathetic." she muttered, her lip curling in disgust.
Superman heard her comment, and despite his exhaustion, he couldn't resist a retort. "Yeah, well, don't flatter yourself." he panted. "I'm holding my own."
Ursa laughed, her eyes gleaming with malice. "Hardly. You're no match for him." she pointed towards Non. "He's better in every way."
"I don't think so." Superman said firmly. He pushed himself harder, his muscles straining as he tried to resist Non's overwhelming strength. "I'm stronger...quicker...and I've got something that you don't. I fight for something bigger than myself."
Ursa nailed Superman with her heat-ray vision, and he was fighting with Non while being scorched from the side. Superman grabbed Non and threw him at Ursa.
Non crashed into Ursa, the impact knocking them both to the ground. They quickly rose to their feet, disoriented but determined to continue the fight.
Superman stumbled, his body beginning to tire. He knew he couldn't keep this up much longer.
Alpha-One was in a life and death battle with Zod, and Bane who was trying to maintain and provide whatever help that could. The hits that were landing echoed off the buildings. They'd fire their heat-ray vision on one another, burning into the quickly regenerating bodies. Superman was indeed shocked by the battle raging before him. They'd called Alpha-One an imposter Superman, but he was pretty impressive, and definitely a man of super ability.
Superman couldn't tear his gaze away from the battle unfolding before him. The intensity of the conflict between Zod and Alpha-One was taking a toll on the surrounding buildings. The ground shook with each powerful blow, and the air crackled with energy.
"This Alpha-One can fight. I can't lie about that." Bane said, watching the battle unfold with a mix of awe and concern.
Zod threw Alpha-One into the street where he crashed into a yellow taxi cab. The side of the car folded in like it was hit by another vehicle. Glass and metal flew into the air, and the sounds of destruction filled the air.
"You're a feisty one, but you're still no match for me. You will be destroyed, should you continue on."
Alpha-One pushed himself off the cab, his eyes narrowing as he faced Zod once again. "Don't you underestimate me." he grit his teeth. "I'm not going down...not here...not now."
"No...no more of this." Superman said.
The Man of Steel was trying to convince the men to end this conflict. "We've done enough damage here."
"You definitely have." Bane said. "Don't think for a minute that you will not pay for the damages. Batman and myself will see to that." Bane said with complete seriousness.
Batman nodded, as he lay injured under Alfred's supervision.
Zod and Alpha-One were staring into each other's eyes. Neither of them were concerned about the damage, repairs, cost of damage, or anything else. Both were strategically evaluating the next move.
Zod growled, his eyes narrowed in anger. "We're not done here. Alpha-One still needs to be taught a lesson."
Alpha-One's expression hardened, his fists clenching at his side. "I won't be lectured by a criminal like you."
Zod chuckled maliciously. "Oh, but you will. You need to know your place, Alpha-One. You're just a fake, an imitation. You will never be the one true Superman."
Alpha-One's jaw clenched, but he refused to back down. "And you're a coward. You hide behind your powers, but you lack the heart and compassion of a true hero."
Superman couldn't get the two of them to end the fight. He watched as the two of them were measuring the other up for their attacks. Ursa came from behind slamming a large piece of broken cement into Superman's back. The Man of Steel was down, and when the time was right Non struck Alpha-One as he focused on Zod.
Alpha-One was caught off guard by Non's attack, and the blow to his head was hard enough to knock him over. He stumbled, his vision blurring as he tried to gather his bearings.
Zod chuckled, pleased with the turn of events. "Looks like your time is up, Alpha-One. Even with your false power, you're no match for us."
Alpha-One struggled to his feet, wiping the blood from his face. "I'm not done yet. You haven't seen everything that I can do."
Zod sneered, his confidence growing. "Oh, I've seen more than enough. But please...impress me."
Alpha-One's gaze hardened, and he launched himself at Zod. His fists slammed into the General with the force of a speeding train. The impact shook the ground, sending tremors through the city.
Zod stumbled back, stunned by the force of Alpha-One's attack. He wiped the blood from his lip and grinned slyly. "Not bad, for a wannabe. But let's see how you handle this."
Zod launched himself forward, his fists flying in a flurry of punches. He was fast, but Alpha-One was faster. He dodged most of the blows, retaliating with his own lightning-quick jabs.
Back and forth they danced, their movements a blur of punches and blocks. The pavement beneath their feet was cracked and shattered by their power, but neither man showed signs of slowing down.
As their battle raged on, Superman climbed to his feet, his body protesting with every movement. He couldn't just stand here and watch while Gotham City was being torn apart. He had to do something.
Non and Ursa noticed that Superman was indeed recovering, and going to bring a stop to Zod's beating of the imposter Superman. They both attacked him so Alpha-One and Zod could continue with their mission to eliminate the other.
Bane gritted his teeth, his eyes flickering with defiance. "I won't go down that easily."
Non chuckled, his tone filled with sadistic amusement. "Oh yeah, you already are. You're weak and broken. You're just a human, and you're nothing compared to us Kryptonians."
Bane knew he was right, but didn't want him to know that. Bane could see that Non was approaching him. His intent was clear. Non was following through on the threats he made. Bane was mentally preparing for his demise.

The only sounds coming from the streets were those from the intense fight for survival. An intensely fought battle for survival.
A brutal war of life and death. Neither of them were concerned with whatever the new sound approaching was. They probably didn't even hear it. Both men stood in the pocket and fought hard.
The battle between them had attracted the attention of Vengeance. The amount of evil doing battle in one place had brought on the impending confrontation. The incoming sound was getting louder. An injured Batman was listening to the sound of a motorcycle. He thought it was Jason Todd, but he realized that he was listening to a different bike. That was not Jason Red Hood Todd.
It was Vengeance covered in Hellfire. The flames engulfing his speeding chopper. The Ghost Rider had two of them fighting with each other in the streets. They were going to face their criminal ways, their evil deeds, and the wrongs that they were connected to. These two were both horrible individuals. The Rider knew that they were. Those who knew of their evil ways didn't really know how bad their intentions were.
The Rider's presence was felt by them all, Batman in his weakened state. He knew that the Ghost Rider was coming for them. The look on Alfred's face said he knew as well.
However, Non and Ursa sensed the change in the air. They both turned their attention to the sounds in the air. Non's expression changed to concern, and he warned Zod quietly, "We have company."
Zod and Alpha-One were fully engaged in their fight. Each punch and counter punch echoed through the air, shaking the ground beneath them. They were too focused on their own battle to notice the impending confrontation.
Zod grunted, but he was too focused on the fight to care. "Let them come. We're not done here."
"You're about the be done...I'm taking your life, Zod." Alpha-One said bluntly and with ill intent.
Zod smirked, his arrogance still apparent. "You can try, Alpha-One. But you'll soon find that I'm not like all the others you've fought. I'm better than you in every way."
Ursa and Non looked sick. They both wanted to just fly out of their and get out of Gotham City.
They could hear the spirits of Gotham City's past. They scream in agony as the Rider of Vengeance passed their unseen form.
"I no longer have a desire to be here. I don't want to be here anymore." Non sounded lost and consumed.
Zod punched Alpha-One across the scattered bricks on the ground. The motorcycle had arrived. Zod watched him approaching. His appearance was a startling sight.
"You're going to have to wait if you're up next. I'm not done with Alpha None...here."
Alpha-One stumbled to his feet, his body beaten and bloodied. He was panting, but he wasn't defeated. He had something inside that would not allow him to give up.
He saw the Rider approaching, the flames of hell enveloping his motorbike, and he braced himself for whatever was to come.
Zod and Alpha-One both turned their attention to the Ghost Rider, their expressions a mix of surprise and curiosity.
Zod sneered, his arrogance not yet extinguished. "Who are you supposed to be? Another wannabe hero?"
The Rider remained silent, the flames around him crackling with power. His gaze shifting between Zod and Alpha-One, as if trying to assess them. Who's evil was deemed worse? Which one harbors more hate within.
They could feel him searching their souls. An intrusive feeling of dread and fear. As their minds conceived the realization of the moment unfolding before them.
Zod grimaced, feeling a strange and unsettling sensation as if someone was peering into his very soul. He had never encountered anything like this before.
Alpha-One was equally unnerved. The Rider's gaze was penetrating, as if he could see the darkest corners of their beings.
Zod, however, was more defiant. He clenched his fists, trying to resist the Rider's penetrating gaze. "You think you can intimidate me?" he growled.
Alpha-One said nothing. He stood there feeling bare and exposed for all to see. A pang of guilt and sadness slowly coming to the surface. Before eventually caving in like an avalanche.
The Rider's gaze lingered on Alpha-One for a moment longer, as if he could sense the turmoil within him. Then, he turned his attention to Zod.
Zod tensed, his muscles coiled like a spring ready to snap. He could feel the Rider's gaze on him, and it was making him furious.
The Ghost Rider was locking Zod into the Penance Stare. His dark past was slowly overtaking him. Feeling the weight of his experiences overtaking his conscience. Dread, guilt, and torment, had consumed him.
He heard Ghost Rider in his head. "Feel the burn."
Zod's expression twisted into agony, the weight of his past sins weighing heavy on him. The Penance Stare had found him guilty.
"No...no...get out of my head," he gritted out, a hint of desperation in his voice.
Alpha-One watched as Zod writhed in pain, unable to escape the overwhelming pain and guilt caused by the Penance Stare. He could feel the agony radiating from Zod, and it was a sight he had never seen before.
The Rider held Zod in place, refusing to let him go. He wanted him to feel the full weight of his actions.
Zod's mind was flooded with images of all the pain and suffering he had caused. The innocent lives he had taken and the destruction he had caused, all rushing back to him in an excruciating wave.
He dropped to his knees, overwhelmed by the intensity of the pain. "Please...stop...make it stop..." he pleaded, his voice cracking with anguish.
The Rider spoke softly, his voice low and unfeeling. "You have caused suffering and pain. You must now feel the suffering you've inflicted."
Zod's breath hitched in his throat as the Penance Stare continued its relentless assault on his conscience. "I...I don't deserve this!" he gasped out, his body shaking with anguish.
The Rider's gaze remained fixed on Zod, his eyes blazing with intensity. "You have caused so much pain and suffering. You deserve every ounce of the pain you are experiencing right now."
Zod's eyes watered as the weight of his guilt overwhelmed him. "Please...have mercy..." he whispered, his voice trembling.
Ursa and Non watched the torment of their leader in battle. They were both lost in a state of confusion.
Superman wasn't sure what was happening, but it was drastically different from what he could remember last.
Superman, watching the confrontation, noticed the shift in Zod's demeanor. He looked pained, as if he were being tortured. "What...what's going on?" he muttered under his breath.
The Rider's voice rang through their minds, cold and unyielding. "This is the Penance Stare. He's showing Zod the pain he has caused. The pain and guilt he's inflicted upon others."
Superman watched in disbelief as Zod writhed in pain, his face contorted in anguish. Seeing such a powerful Kryptonian reduced to a trembling mass was almost too much to watch. He knew Zod had done horrible things, but what he was witnessing was a new level of torment.
The Penance Stare was showing Zod the full extent of his actions, all the pain and suffering he had caused. The memories and emotions were overwhelming, and Zod couldn't escape them. The Rider kept him in place, making him face the consequences of his transgressions.
Zod let out a strangled cry as the Painc Stare continued to torment him. "Please...make it stop..." he pleaded again, his voice hoarse from the strain.
The Rider was unyielding, his expression stoic as ever. "No. You will feel the pain you've inflicted upon others. Every death, every suffering, you will feel it all."
Zod's body convulsed as the pain intensified. He fought to hold onto his conscience, but the torment was too much. He couldn't escape the relentless onslaught of the Penance Stare.
Alpha-One watched on knowing that this was going to happen to him too. He felt bad for the man who he had just been trying to kill. He couldn't understand why he felt that way. He was confused and disoriented.
"What's wrong with me?" Alpha-One asked aloud. No answers came back to him.
Alpha-One felt lost and confused, as the sounds of Zod's torment filled the air. He couldn't understand why he was feeling sympathy for the ruthless Kryptonian.
The school bus teetering on the edge of disaster, but The Mighty Alpha-One soars in to save the day. He's glorified as a hero. The community put him on a pedestal, but the failure of the brakes that caused the incident, was caused by the so called hero.
"No...I'm not a hero. I'm just now trying, I'm...ahhhh. Please...make it stop. I deceived them." Alpha-One shouts.
Zod looked on still shaken and exhausted from the experience. He saw Alpha-One receiving his turn, and he knew what Ghost Rider was doing to a formidable challenge of non Kryptonian origin.
Zod felt a pang of sympathy for Alpha-One, despite their earlier battle. He knew what it was like to be judged for one's actions, and he could see the pain on Alpha-One's face.
The Rider's gaze was fixed on Alpha-One now, and the Penance Stare was taking its toll. Alpha-One was being forced to confront the guilt and shame of his past actions, just as Zod had been.
"I'm no good. I'm a liar, cheater, deceiver, narcissist." Alpha-One shouts
The memories came flooding back to Alpha-One, and he felt a wave of shame washing over him. He had caused the bus accident, and the community had celebrated him as a hero without knowing the truth.
"I don't care about people. I am superior to the world's people, mere mortals with weaknesses." Alpha-One said.
In his vision he'd been caught up to by the flaming black horse and it's Rider was swinging the chains like a whip. He felt that fear in real time.
"Do you want to save your soul from riding for the All Evil One?" The Rider questions his suspect.
Alpha-One could feel the flames and chains getting closer to him. The fear of the unknown consumed him. "Yes, please I'll do anything." he pleaded, desperate to escape the Rider's terrifying presence.
He saw the Riders and their horses engulfed in Hellfire and the horses running at full speed and they have to ride forever as repayment for their evil deeds. Surrender their souls for the deals they made for fame, success, or unrealistic happiness.
Alpha-One watched in horror as the horses and riders disappeared into the flames, consumed by their own evil deeds. It was an unbearable sight, and he could feel the weight of his own guilt bearing down on him. "Do you want to save your soul, boy?"
"If you want to save your soul your visions for the future must change. Because they want you to ride along beside them in a place of endless time." The Ghost Rider warned.

The damage was done. Superman watched Ghost Rider ride off out of state sight. Alfred helped Batman to his feet. The destruction was widespread and Gotham City would need to be rebuilding in the area of the fight. Superman looked at Batman with a pang of guilt and shame. He'd played his part in the disaster that was all around them.
"Well Bane, you asked to help me fix Gotham's problems, right?" Batman said.
"Bane...do you hear me?" Batman asked. "Bane, hey Bane..."
There was no response. Jason Todd saw Bane unresponsive on the ground. He checked his pulse, but there was nothing to be found. Jason turned over his shoulder, "Bane is dead."
"Dead? Are you sure?" Batman asked.
"I'm sorry, Bats. He's gone." Jason reluctantly announced.
Alpha-One looked over at the real heroes and how they had genuine sympathy and sadness because Bane was dead. He was not one of them, but he would have to become the men they were or he'd have to ride forever through the never ending sky.
Zod, Ursa and Non flew out of sight as soon as the Ghost Rider mounted his chopper. Alpha-One wanted to do the same. Fly away and try to forget about what happened, but that wasn't the answer and he knew that. There was no honor in leaving without facing his own shortcomings.
Inside his thoughts and in response to the vision, Alpha-One had made a promise to become the hero he'd pretended that he was. He had to do some real soul searching. Try to find that man that he was intended to be. The one he promised the Ghost Rider that he'd become. Perhaps he could be that guy. He hoped that he could.
Superman watched Alpha-One with a mixture of concern and understanding. He knew firsthand the impact the Penance Stare could have on someone. He could relate to Alpha-One's internal struggle and recognized the pain and guilt he was experiencing.
He wanted to approach him, to offer some form of support, but hesitated. He wasn't sure if his words would help or just add to the man's distress, especially after the battle they'd just been through.
Instead, he watched from a distance as Alpha-One stood there, lost in his own thoughts. The burden of his past actions weighed heavily on him, and Superman sensed that Alpha-One was having an internal battle of his own.
Superman knew that Alpha-One was grappling with his feelings of guilt and shame. He understood the toll it could take on a person's conscience. He had faced similar battles within himself, and he knew the struggle to reconcile one's actions with one's ideals.
Barbara Gordon walked up to Alpha-One. She wrapped him in her arms. She could see the pain that was written on his face like the headline on an article. "Are you alright, baby?" Her voice muffled in his muscular chest.
"I wanted to be with you and be your man. However, I don't think you'd want to be with the man that I really am. The truth is that I have never been the super hero that I pretended to be." Alpha-One said.
Barbara smiled softly, her grip on him tightening. "You don't have to be perfect to be with me, Alpha-One. We all have our flaws and mistakes." She looked up at him, her gaze filled with compassion. "What matters is the present. The choices we make now."
Alpha-One looked into her eyes. Barbara looked into his. They engaged in a kiss. "No, my love. I don't think that you understand what I'm saying, or maybe I didn't just say it." Alpha-One said.
Batman, Alfred, and Superman, were all listening in on the conversation. Not noticeably, but they were curious about the super powered man with Superman powers, however not Kryptonian.
"I'm not going to lie to you. It's not just about me having the abilities to be a good super hero, and not stepping up to the to the responsibility. That's bad in itself. I set the fires to the buildings that I saved the people from. I damaged the brakes on the school bus that I saved on the bridge. I put all those children in danger to get my flowers for saving them." Alpha-One said.
Barbara was listening to his confession. As he told her of these evil things he'd done she couldn't believe it. This didn't seem like the guy she'd developed feeling for. It sounded to her like a double life.
"I killed my old partner on the police force. With him out of the way I continued to fuck his widowed wife, and consoling her over a man that I'd killed. Then I have used my powers to manipulate, women, the casino, and the officers on the police force. I've taken advantage of anyone who I needed something from." Alpha-One continued.
Barbara listened intently, struggling to process his confession. Her heart was heavy with a mix of emotions: shock, disappointment, and disbelief. She couldn't reconcile the Alpha-One standing before her with the man she had developed feelings for.
"Why?" was the only word she could manage to speak. "Why would you do all those things?"
Alpha-One wrapped her up in his arms. "Because I am not a good person. With the power to do the same things that Superman has done, I didn't use them for noble and righteous purposes. I used my X-ray vision to see women through the walls, used it at the casino to steal their money, and at the work place for my own purposes and benefit."
Barbara felt a wave of shock and incredulity wash over her. She had put her trust and her heart into a man who was capable of such deception and manipulation. "But why, Alpha-One? Why did you do it? Was it just the power that changed you?"
"Because when you have those types of abilities you are able to do whatever you want. So I decided to make it look like I was the hero, but I was really the villain." Alpha-One answered.
Barbara's eyes welled with tears, her voice trembling as she asked, "But what about the people you hurt-the women you used, the families you tore apart? Did they mean nothing to you?"
"No...they were nothing to me. I didn't care about them. I'd use them however I could use them." Alpha-One confessed. "This doesn't change the way I feel about you, Barbra. You were a real love I'd never felt before."
Barbara's heart ached at his words. She wanted to believe him, to have faith in the bond that they shared, but it was difficult to reconcile his past actions with the love they had built.
"But how can I trust you now, knowing what you've done?" she asked, tears streaming down her face. "How can I know that you won't hurt me too?"
Barbara looked into Alpha-One's eyes, trying to find any indication that he was sincere about this change. Despite everything, she found a glimmer of hope within them.
She nodded slightly, her voice barely above a whisper. "Yes...we can kiss."
Barbara, despite the turmoil within her, couldn't deny the connection they shared. She nodded, glancing around to see if anyone was watching them. Batman and Superman were locked in on them.
"Yes," she said softly, her voice tinged with a hint of vulnerability. "Let's find some privacy."
Barbara and Alpha-One walked out of earshot and out of sight from anyone else. They found a secluded spot where they could speak openly. Barbara looked at Alpha-One with a mixture of uncertainty and hope.
"I want to believe you, Alpha-One," she said softly. "But it's hard for me to look past everything you've done. How do I know that this change is genuine?"
Alpha-One kissed her neck. He grabbed her ass and pulled her into him. "I'm a different person. Maybe not when I came here, but I learned a lot about the abilities that I possess and how real heroes use their power." Continued to kiss her neck. "I want to make love to you. Are we secluded enough for your liking, baby?"
Barbara's body reacted to his touch, his kisses igniting a familiar spark within her. She let out a soft sigh, her resistance crumbling. "Yes...we're secluded enough."
She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. "But what about the people we left behind? Batman, Superman, the others..."
Alpha-One pulled her into a deeper kiss as if to claim her as his own. He wanted to prove to her that his change was real. "Let them worry about themselves and us."
He pulled away just enough to look into her eyes, his gaze filled with desire. "All I want right now is you, my love. Everything else can wait."
Batman and Superman were as surprised by Batgirl's decision to leave with Alpha-One. "The guy has a past someone who we'd pursuing." Batman said.
"I could go after them." Superman offered.
"No, but thanks for the offer." Batman would see how things played out.
Superman couldn't help but feel a mix of concern and curiosity. "Are you really okay with letting them go like that?"
Batman simply nodded. "Sometimes, people need space to figure things out on their own."
Barbara had thought the perfect man had fallen in her lap. She absolutely hated the fact that he was the guy that she thought he was, but she believed that he wanted to be that guy.
Most of all was the connection they had.
Barbara couldn't deny the intense connection they shared. Every touch, every word that left his mouth, every gesture he made, and every look in his eyes felt like they were meant to be. It was difficult to accept that the person she was falling for was not the man she had thought.
Yet, there was a part of her that believed in the potential for change, that the guy he was trying to be could be real.
There was no denying that some of his actions were those of a future prisoner. He put a bus full of children in danger so he could save them. He murdered his partner, but then consoled the widow, and was nailing the woman. Perverse uses of his x-ray vision. These were horrible crimes and those of a dangerous individual.
The list of his wrongdoings was indeed disturbing. It was challenging to overlook his crimes against society, the manipulation and the lives he had destroyed.
Yet, there was a part of Barbara that hoped he could be more. She wanted to believe that there was a chance for redemption, a chance for him to make amends for his past mistakes.
She also couldn't help but feel a connection to him, a spark that drew her closer despite his wrongdoings. She wanted to see the potential in him, to believe that he could be the man he claimed to be becoming.
As they headed to their private location, Barbara's mind was a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. This was definitely not how she had envisaged her future. He pulled her into his arms, their bodies pressed close together. Alpha-One kissed her lips and neck. His hand roaming her body. Exploring her strong athletic body.
Every touch and kiss felt new and charged with an intensity that was both frightening and enticing. Alpha-One's hand roamed her body, tracing the contour of her curves with a mixture of familiarity and discovery.
Barbara's mind was a whirlwind of conflicting thoughts and emotions, but her body was responding to his touch. She was drawn to him despite her doubts.
She tried to push away the thoughts of his past deeds, as she surrendered to the sensations he was stirring within her. Her mind was lost in a mix of desire and uncertainty.
Alpha-One trailed kisses down her neck, his hand slowly lifting her shirt to expose her bare skin. "Baby...I want you..right now." He whispered in her ear.
Barbara was consumed by desire. Her emotions were in turmoil, but her body couldn't deny the intense connection they shared. "Yes...I want you too." Her voice was a breathy whisper as his lips teased her neck.
Her shirt was lifted off, leaving her upper body exposed. Alpha-One took this as an invitation to explore her body. He leaned in to kiss down her chest. His teeth gently nipping her skin. "You're so beautiful..." Her breath hitched as his hands skimmed over her abs.
Barbara gasped slightly as his touch sent tingles of pleasure through her body, his touch tracing every inch of her bare skin. She was torn between wanting to believe in his change and fearing what it meant to trust him.
"Alpha-One...I don't know if I can fully trust you yet." She whispered. Her voice slightly shaky as his mouth found her naval.Barbara's body was responding to his touch, but her mind was struggling to reconcile the man she loved with the man he really was. She tried to push the thoughts aside, to focus on the sensations he was stirring within her. But the reality of who Alpha-One had been was hard to ignore, even in the heat of the moment.
Alpha-One continued his ministrations, his hands roaming her body, leaving a trail of fire in their wake. His mouth traveled down to her stomach, and she shivered at the sensation.
She knew her body was responding to him, but she couldn't help the nagging thoughts at the back of her mind. She was drawn to him, and the way he touched and looked at her was making her forget everything else.
"Oh God..." she gasped out, her voice quivering as his mouth reached her hip. She tangled her fingers in his hair, tugging gently.
His fingers were tracing her curves, his mouth close to her inner thigh. "Do you want me to stop?" Alpha-One asked, his voice low and deep. His fingers paused as he waited for her answer. Barbara's body was aflame with desire. "No, don't stop...please." She whispered, her voice heavy with need.
Alpha-One growled softly in response. His hands continued to explore her body, his touch becoming more insistent. "You're so beautiful..." He breathed, "So perfect." He trailed kisses along her inner thigh, his teeth nipping at her skin, leaving tender indents.
Barbara and Alpha-One were too caught up in their intimate encounter to notice the pair of eyes that watched them. The creature observing them was silently studying their actions, trying to determine if Alpha-One was a fighter.
Alpha-One's attention was solely on Barbara, his focus on pleasing her body. His hands moved lower, his touch growing bolder, his lips brushing her neck.
Barbara was completely consumed by the sensations he was stirring within her. Her mind was blank of all thoughts except the pleasure he was giving her. She could feel his desire matching hers, his need for her.
She surrendered herself to the moment, her body moving in rhythm with his. The world around them faded away, and the only thing that mattered was Alpha-One and the way he made her feel.
The Yautjas continued to just observe the alien known as Alpha-One.
